A new set video for Morbius shows Jared Leto's character flying. Sony has released many Marvel movies over the years, but in 2020, Morbius the Living Vampire will grace the big screen for the character's first ever movie. Morbius will be the next film in Sony's Spider-Man villain universe, which started with Venom last year.

Michael Morbius first appeared back in 1971 for The Amazing Spider-Man #101 and was a brilliant scientist who suffered from a rare blood disease. In an attempt to cure his disease, Morbius accidentally infected himself with an even worse disease which he called, "pseudo-vampirism." Like many superheroes and villains, Morbius' newfound powers made him faster and stronger, but he also has some unique abilities like hypnotism and the power to turn others into vampires. In the comics, Morbius can also glide by using mental concentration, which is one power that appears to make it into the film.

First posted on the Morbius Twitter account (via: ComingSoon), Leto's vampire character can be seen flying in new set photos and a video from Morbius. The video is rather short, but shows Leto performing a high-wire stunt while wearing what appears to be an orange prison jumpsuit. A few more images were also released from the set, but they don't reveal much about the film itself. These images, as well as the short set video, can be seen below:

Aside from Leto as Morbius, there have been many casting announcements that have been made public in the last year. The Crown's Matt Smith will be playing Loxias Crown, who will be Morbius' best friend-turned-enemy. Also, Adria Arjona will be playing Martine Bancroft, who is usually Morbius' main love interest in the comic books. Jared Harris and Tyrese Gibson have also joined the cast, although their exact character names have yet to be confirmed.

The official plot for Morbius has yet to be revealed, so fans have been relying on set pictures and videos like this to get a feel for what the movie will be like. Leto had previously released an official behind-the-scenes image from Morbius, but much like this video, his face was mostly hidden from the shot. With that in mind, fans shouldn't have to wait much longer for another official sneak peek at the film since Morbius is currently in production with a set July 2020 release date.
