New art imagines what a comic accurate version of Jamie Foxx's Electro could look like in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Electro is one of Spider-Man's biggest adversaries in the comics, though he's gone up against other heroes as well. As part of the Sinister Six, Electro has had a big impact on Peter Parker's journey as a hero. Outside of the comics, the villain has appeared in several animated shows and video games, but only one feature film. As played by Foxx, Electro is a key part of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Andrew Garfield's last movie as the title hero. Following that film's poor performance, Tom Holland took over as Spider-Man, with Sony and Marvel building their shared universe around his Spidey instead.

Until last year, most believed Sony planned on keeping its previous Spider-Man films separate from Holland's in an effort to maintain continuity. However, in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the studio surprised audiences with an appearance by J.K. Simmons, reprising his role as J. Jonah Jameson from the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies. This seemed to open up the possibility for appearances by other actors who appeared in previous Spider-Man films. This came to fruition this week, as Foxx is in final talks to appear in Spider-Man: Homecoming 3 as Electro. It's unclear how his villain fits into the story, but with the movie reportedly starting filming at some point this fall, it may become clear soon.

Now, exclusive art by ApexForm imagines what Foxx's Electro could look like when he debuts in the MCU. The artist offers a comic accurate take on the villain, showcasing his traditional green-and-yellow costume instead of the more muted look he wore in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Check out the image below:

The new look for Electro is still slightly subdued compared to the comics, making it realistic while still honoring the character's origins. The costume Electro wears in Spider-Man: Homecoming 3 will likely depend on Sony's plans for the villain. If Foxx is playing the exact same version of Electro, there will have to be an in-story reason for the change. However, if the movie introduces a different take on the character, then a new, more comic accurate costume may not require an explanation.

It's clear from this art Electro will be a formidable foe for Holland's Spider-Man. It will be interesting to see how the character's dynamic changes with his version of Spidey vs. Garfield's. Electro is an exciting addition to the MCU, and getting an idea of what he may look like in Spider-Man: Homecoming 3 should increase anticipation for his introduction.
