News about The Twilight Saga's New Moon seems to spring up on the daily, and today is no different: actor Jamie Campbell-Bower (Sweeny Todd, RocknRolla) is the latest name to be announced as part of the New Moon cast.
Campbell-Bower will play Caius, leader of the Volturi, an ancient Italian covenant of vampires. Screen Rant recently confirmed that New Moon would include actress Dakota Fanning as Jane and actress Noot Seear as Heidi, both members of the Volturi. Sounds like a pretty star-studded covenant.
Speaking of "star-studded," how many other big names we will see cast in New Moon? Jamie Campbell-Bower knows for sure, and check out what he had to say on the subject:
"I do know who else will be in it - but I can't tell you, unfortunately. But go online and have a look at the rumors," he said. "They're all false. You're putting me in a terrible situation."
Awww, sorry Twilight fans, looks like you'll just have to wait and see what the film gods have in store for your favorite fanged franchise.
Back to the subject of Jamie Campbell-Bower: the actor will join the production of New Moon over in Europe this summer, in order to shoot his scenes as Caius.
New Moon is still being fast-tracked for a November 20, 2009 release. It will be directed by Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass) and will re-star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, alongside some new (soon-to-be-cast) vampires and a whole wolf pack. Should be a blast.
What do you think about Jamie Campbell-Bower joining the cast of New Moon?
