James Gunn's The Suicide Squad has cast A Wrinkle in Time star Storm Reid to play the daughter of Idris Elba's yet to be named character. There are an array of details not yet released for the DC production, but so far the film will see Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn returning, along with Joel Kinnaman's Rick Flag, Jai Courtney's Captain Boomerang, and Viola Davis' Amanda Waller. Plenty of new actors have also been cast and added to the Squad, many of whom will be portraying new characters. Though the title has led many DC fans to believe that the film will be a reboot, James Gunn has yet to disclose whether or not it's a reboot or a sequel. But, even with info being kept under lock and key, Gunn has expressed his excitement many times in regard to the production, exclaiming that he's taking his time on the DC film before jumping back into the MCU with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Originally, it was reported that Idris Elba would be taking over the role of Deadshot, subbing in after Will Smith was unable to return to the production due to a scheduling conflict. Speculation arose earlier this year though, when it was announced that Elba would be playing a new character in Gunn's adaptation instead. It's since been rumored that he'll be playing Ben Turner, otherwise known as Bronze Tiger, but nothing's been set in stone just yet.
