As the greatest spy and secret agent in the world, James Bond has dealt with a number of dangerous threats. But none of them remotely compare to John Wick. The assassin and mercenary has made a name for himself by killing pretty much anyone who gets in his way. Then again, 007 is no slouch in that department, either.

Both men have a nasty habit of causing mayhem and violence wherever they go. It's no wonder they each have such well-known and well-deserved reputations. A fight between them might cause some chaos, but only one of them could come out on top.

JOHN WICK: Ruska Roma Training

Orphaned at a young age, the boy who would grow up to be John Wick was recruited by a criminal organization called the Ruska Roma. They trained him to become the feared and renowned hitman movie fans have come to know and love.

The leader of this organization known as "The Director" essentially raised John, arranging for training in hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship and so much more. In his world, John Wick is a verifiable legend.

JAMES BOND: MI6 Training

James Bond

Much like John Wick, James Bond was also orphaned at a young age. He lived with other family members, eventually joining the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve where he received the training that would lead him to MI6. At the time that his service ended, he held the rank of commander.

Bond eventually joined MI6 and became a 00 agent. As part of his membership in this elite group, Bond has undergone incredible amounts of training in all aspects of being a spy.

JOHN WICK: Tactical Driving

John Wick

There comes a point that John Wick starts reminding you of Marvel's Bullseye since everything seems to be a weapon in his hands. As an example of his proficiency with making use of whatever is at hand, Wick has killed multiple people with a pencil on more than one occasion.

But the hardest place to match John Wick is behind the wheel of a car. His tactical driving skills are virtually unmatched. That being said, the person who comes the closest is probably James Bond.

JAMES BOND: Gadgets

When you need the latest in spy gear, looking no further than Q Branch. The job of Q Branch is outfit the 00s with secretive gear that's effective and often deadly. Over the years, some of that gear became increasingly silly, though it was useful in some quite particular circumstances.

The recent films have seen a return to more practical gadgets. That doesn't change the fact that Q can find ways to hide blades, bombs and guns. A surprise cufflink grenade would even throw John Wick off his game.

JOHN WICK: Gun Fu

While it might not be the exact phrase he would use to describe it, John Wick is a master of Gun Fu and looking good. The Ruska Roma trained John in a variety of martial arts as well as marksmanship.

He incorporated firearms into his close-quarters combat style, using guns even when working up close and personal. John Wick certainly isn't the first movie character to use Gun Fu but he sure makes it look good, and had killed innumerable opponents with the technique.

JAMES BOND: Experience

James Bond

Few people even in MI6 have the vast international experience of James Bond. He has spent a significant portion of his adult life, traveling the world and taking on megalomaniacal villains with overly complicated plans.

The potential for success in these plans is dubious at best. Bond has a level of experience that sets him apart from not just his opponents but also his contemporaries. There's a reason why he's considered the best of the best.

JOHN WICK: Focus

John Wick has been described as a man of singular focus, someone who cannot be distracted from any task laid in front of him. That's is truly unfortunate for anyone who has the extreme misfortune of ending up in his crosshairs. The same is true for anyone who gets between John and his target.

Many a thug has met an untimely end simply because they attempted to dissuade John from his assigned task. Kevin Nash in the first film was one of the few characters smart enough to simply step out of Wick's path.

JAMES BOND: Luck

Not everyone believes in luck. Or, at the very least, they believe that you create your own luck through a mix of training and experience. While that's true to an extent, that doesn't fully encapsulate the power of the horseshoe up James Bond's butt.

Few characters in movies have the blind luck Bond does, surviving situations that would have killed better 00 agents than him. Even when the chips are down, the perfect cards always fall on the table for Bond at just the right moment.

JOHN WICK: Unrelenting

Saying that John Wick is unrelenting might not do the man the respect he has earned over his career. Wick is a force of nature, tearing through his target's lives and leaving nothing behind. The Tarasov family found that out first hand when he essentially dismantled their entire criminal organization.

In John's defense, they did try to stop him so they left him no choice. No forgiveness, no slowing down. John didn't stop pulling the trigger until everyone paid the price.

JAMES BOND: Charm

James Bond

The greatest weapon in Bond's arsenal is his charm. That doesn't just mean that women fall for him, and two or three do exactly that in each movie. His charming, suave demeanor has opened doors for him, bluffing his was through situations that would have gotten others killed.

Bond is the kind of guy who makes his enemies question killing him. But they still try so his charming ways are not necessarily perfect. Sometimes, James just rubs people the wrong way.

WHO WOULD WIN?

John Wick chases his target

As much as you might want to give the win to 007, the reality is that John Wick is going to take the victory. With enough time to prepare, Bond could give Wick a run for his money but John is a man of extreme focus and skill.

There are few threats he can't overcome with brutality and precision. If James Bond encountered John Wick and got on his bad side, Wick would be the person to finally put Bond down for good.
