The Marvel Comics villain Taskmaster uses many different sources to copy powers, but he once mimicked James Bond to complete a mission when infiltrating Stark Enterprises. In Taskmaster #1 (2002), Taskmaster ended up using his "hours of stockpiled 007's and impossible missions" that his photographic memory retains from watching movies and television to break into Iron Man's tech facility. Ultimately, channeling Bond helped the villain accomplish his challenging task in style.

Taskmaster is one of the most badass villains in the Marvel Universe due to his incredible mimicry powers, as he's capable of copying anyone's fighting style and physical movements in seconds. Tony Master's photographic reflexes have allowed him to take on the fighting style of many villains and heroes, including the Avenger's Black Knight, Captain America, Daredevil, Moon Knight, and Iron Fist. Additionally, Taskmaster's powers gave him the fighting ability of Deadpool, Bullseye, and Typhoid Mary. Nobody is off-limits for Taskmaster, as he will copy anyone's fighting skills he thinks can be valuable. Taskmaster made his MCU debut in Black Widow, where Olga Kurylenko played a different version of the villain.

In Taskmaster #1 (2002) by Ken Siu-Chong, Alvin Lee, Udon Studios, and Jon Babcock, the copycat villain is hired to catch a card counter in action at a casino. After successfully taking him down, Taskmaster is given another mission to break into Stark Enterprises and destroy his semi-conductor technology so that it doesn't put his hirer out of business. Taskmaster easily breaks into the facility and admits that he's using "hours of stockpiled 007's and 'Impossible Mission's" that his "photographic memory has retained from years of movies and television." Yes, Taskmaster copied James Bond.

Taskmaster Copies James Bond

Since Taskmaster only needs to see someone in action to be able to copy their fighting style, his powers allowed him to pull from the fictional world of James Bond and "Impossible Mission." While his powers giving him the skills of 007 are only revealed as Taskmaster breaks into the facility, it's cool to see him get creative with his abilities. It also shows that Taskmaster has many additional options to learn new battle styles with thousands of great fighters in movies and television. What other pop culture could Taskmaster have consumed, giving him new abilities? Seeing him take on more fictional characters like Bruce Lee or Rocky Balboa would be fun.

In the comic, Taskmaster pulls from unlikely sources to gain access to Stark Enterprises during his mission. The villain even copied from the fictional world to gain real-life fighting skills by channeling 007 with his powers. It ended up being the right call, as Taskmaster used his James Bond skills to get where he needed.
