Johnny Knoxville has reportedly racked up the highest medical bills in the Jackass crew, according to new data. More than a decade on from the release of Jackass 3.5, the newest installment of the hit MTV franchise, Jackass Forever, is now slated for release early next year and, in true Jackass style, looks set to feature a variety of stunts that are sure to have viewers squirming. Many of the original Jackass veterans are set to return for this all-out reunion, including the likes of Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Ehren McGhehey and Dave England, alongside fan-favourites, Jason 'Wee-man' Acuña and Preston Lacy.

The Jackass franchise is notorious for its brutal and downright insane stunts, as well as its fearless cast who are game for almost anything. Over the years, fans have seen the gang partake in stunts such as "The Anaconda Ball pit," in which Knoxville, Wee-man, and the late Ryan Dunn attempted to find a number of anacondas hiding within a children's ball pit. Another instant-classic was the "Poo Cocktail Supreme" which saw Steve-O strapped into a well-used Port-a-potty on bungee cords, in perhaps their most disgusting, yet hilarious stunt to date.

Now, the team at Nova Legal Funding have put together an "Injury Rich List" for the members of the Jackass cast, showing the true cost of the damages they face with each injury. The list can essentially be translated into a ranking of who has performed the most dangerous stunts over the years, with Johnny Knoxville coming in first place with a whopping $8.66m medical bill, following a number of pretty intense injuries including an alligator bite (costing $100,000), 16 concussions (totaling $4m) and a scalped head ($150,000). Knoxville's single most expensive bill, however, was one of his more recent injuries during filming for Jackass Forever, in which he suffered a brain hemorrhage that cost $2.5 million, during a stunt involving a bull whereby Knoxville was knocked unconscious.

McGhehey came in at second place on the "Jackass Injury Rich List," who suffered a total of $7.3m worth of damage, followed by Steve-O at $5.8m. Fourth, fifth and sixth places went to Dave England ($1.6m), Wee-man ($675,000) and Preston Lacey ($75,000) respectively. The majority of the injuries on the list were various broken limbs (including a shocking 3 broken necks and a broken back from McGhehey) with the research estimating that the total cost of injuries across the main cast of Jackass could sit somewhere between $24-38m.

Knoxville was in his late twenties when Jackass originally launched on MTV, and since then, he and the crew have truly taught viewers the meaning of the phrase "Don't try this at home!" With the majority of the cast now in or nearing their fifties, many were left wondering if the caliber of stunts in Jackass Forever would be on par with that of the previous films. While the injury list is largely retrospective, the fact that one of Knoxville's newer stunts is one of his most dangerous yet is certainly confirmation that the team did not hold back with this movie, and there is likely to be more where that came from. Knoxville recently confirmed via Instagram that the release date for Jackass Forever had been pushed back until February 4 2022, so fans will have to wait a little while longer to see what kind of crazy stunts the gang will get up to in this newest installment.
