The cast of the young Losers' Club from IT: Chapter Two has officially wrapped filming on the upcoming sequel. Star-making turns from the young actors helped fashion a massive hit out of Andy Muschietti's first installment of the two-part IT movie series, based on Stephen King's novel of the same name, and now their work is officially done in Derry.

Set 27 years after last year's first entry in the series, IT: Chapter Two will center around grown-up versions of characters originally portrayed by actors like Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Sophia Lillis (Sharp Objects) as they face off against the interdimensional Pennywise the Dancing Clown (Bill Skarsgård). That said, the younger cast will show up in the sequel through flashbacks, though it's unclear how significant of a role they will play. Now, with just short of a year until the movie's theatrical release, production has officially wrapped for the younger crew of actors, including Jaeden Lieberher, Chosen Jacobs, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Wyatt Oleff, and Jack Dylan Grazer, who will star opposite Zachary Levi in the upcoming DC adaptation of Shazam!

Wolfhard posted a photo to his Instagram account on Thursday, confirming that the young Losers' Club is officially done filming their scenes. Wolfhard reposted the photo from the account of photographer Christopher Mellevold, who has taken numerous photos of the cast. The caption specifically mentions Muschietti and his sister Barbara, a producer on both IT movies, as well as acting coach Ben Perkins. The photo includes all six members of the young Losers' Club.

Though the sequel will predominantly center around the adult Losers, their younger counterparts will still serve a significant purpose. During San Diego Comic-Con 2018, Muschietti revealed some behind-the-scenes footage of the adult Losers' Club, reportedly featuring a reunion scene pulled straight out of King's novel. However, the director stated that the flashbacks featuring the young Losers' Club will be more than offhand nods, functioning as significant parts of the movie that will "inform the story in the present day."

While IT: Chapter Two will gain plenty of attention from its new A-list cast - including two-time Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain, recent Emmy-winner Bill Hader, and James McAvoy - the return of its younger cast will no doubt excite an already enthusiastic audience. The first IT broke box office records with the most successful opening for a horror movie everso capitalizing on the younger cast's presence is a no-brainer for Warner Bros. The overlapping between generations gives the sequel potential to warrant even greater success than its predecessor.
