Jessica Chastain teases that IT: Chapter Two will feature the bloodiest scene in a horror film. Chastain will portray an older Beverly Marsh, and she along with the other members of the now-grown up Losers' Club will return to Derry, Maine to face their childhood fears one last time. Warner Bros.' 2017 horror hit IT was well received by critics and moviegoers, and the film even assisted in the studio dominating the box office that year, so a continuation was expected. With the upcoming film looking to improve on the terror and bloodshed, fans will be excited to know that IT: Chapter Two features a very bloody scene.

Director Andres Muschietti returns to helm the upcoming sequel, which will pick up 27 years after the events of the original. After believing the horrors they faced as children were put to rest, the Losers' Club will reunite in Derry for one final confrontation with Pennywise. Bill Skarsgard will return as the menacing clown, as his performance in the first film was one the reasons it became so successful. Also, the young Losers' Club will make an appearance as well, but this will more than likely be in the form of flashbacks experienced by their adult counterparts. While it was expected that IT: Chapter Two would be scarier and go for more gore, Chastain has teased a very bloody scene to get fans excited.

Appearing as a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Chastain teased that IT: Chapter Two will include the bloodiest scene in a horror movie. Wanting to remain tight-lipped, Chastain wasn't sure if her remarks would be acceptable to share with Fallon, but she decided to share regardless of the potential backlash. She mentions that someone on set expressed their thoughts on a certain scene, which featured lots of blood, before admitting that she spent the next day pulling blood out of her eyes. When asked to share information on the upcoming follow-up, Chastain answered:

"I'm gonna say something and I think I'm gonna be in trouble but I'm gonna do it. It might be a spoiler, but in the movie there's a scene that someone said on set that it's the most blood that's ever been in a horror film in a scene."

Skarsgard Playing Pennywise

Chastain's admission that she spent time cleaning blood out of her eyes could mean the scene has something to do with Beverly encountering Pennywise in a potential demise, or hallucination. In the original film, Beverly does get in a terrifying situation when she is alone in her bathroom. In the scene, blood shoots out of the sink and overtakes the entire room, leaving Beverly shocked and horrified, so maybe IT: Chapter Two includes a similar ordeal for Beverly. Adding to that, Muschietti shared a photo to bid farewell to Chastain when she wrapped filming and in the picture she appeared to have just finished washing blood off, perhaps it was from the scene she described to Fallon.

With only a few months left before IT: Chapter Two arrives in theaters, fans should expect promotions to pick up, as a teaser could arrive soon. And, with Chastain sharing details on a very bloody scene, it will be exciting to see if the film's first teaser will be heavy on the gore, or if it will be saved for the theatrical release. Luckily, it won't be long before Pennywise is back terrorizing both the Losers' Club, and audiences around the world.
