Isaac Martinez from My 600-lb Life keeps a healthy lifestyle while maintaining his privacy on social media. The Texas resident was 23 when he appeared in the TLC docuseries. At the time, Isaac was 661 pounds and dealt with health problems and family responsibilities. The young man had multiple duties, from caring for his mom to providing for his family. He had also previously suffered cardiac arrest, which led him into a coma for a week. He seemed determined to improve his life when he appeared on My 600-lb Life season 9.
Upon consulting with Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, AKA Dr. Now, Isaac decided to take a leap of faith and improve his life by eating healthier and exercising daily. His journey was full of hurdles due to his mother’s cancer treatment and family duties, but he eventually dropped some weight. By the 12-month mark, Isaac had lost 122 pounds, bringing his weight down to 539 pounds. Unfortunately, his episode didn’t reveal if he got the weight loss surgery after approval. It ended bittersweetly, with the young man trying to lose weight for two more months.

Unlike other My 600-lb Life stars who have proudly shown their transformed bodies and fitness journeys on social media, Isaac has tried to make his life more private since appearing on the show. As of March 2023, Isaac is 26 years old and seems to be living in his hometown of Hutchins, Texas. Looper says he is now more active than before and can confidently carry his body weight. However, it is still unclear if Isaac underwent the weight loss procedure and dropped any additional pounds after his reality TV stint.

Some of Isaac’s social media details reveal that he is still studying and is a full-time student. Apart from his crochet projects, he doesn’t like to share many personal details on social media, including his weight loss progress. In late 2022, Isaac shared an alarming post on his Facebook, where he opened up about someone stealing his father’s truck. He posted a photo of the vehicle and asked fans to help him catch the thieves. While it is still unclear if the police could find Isaac’s truck, most people were hopeful in the comment section.
Since My 600-lb Life, it seems Isaac is doing just fine. While it's unclear whether or not he lost more weight, he at least seems to be enjoying his life. He's been through a lot in life, and it seems My 600-lb Life helped him get out of the rut he was in.
