Marvel has just dropped the official logo for their upcoming MCU series Ironheart. This is the latest in the line of Disney+ series spinning off characters from the Marvel universe, which include this year's streaming successes WandaVisionThe Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki. Marvel's domination of Disney+ will continue when Hawkeye drops its first two episodes on November 27. Ironheart was first announced in December 2020, one of the many new MCU series that are currently in development.

The Ironheart show will continue the legacy of Tony Stark by following the adventures of Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne. In the comics, Williams is a teenager with a genius IQ who builds her own Iron Man armor. The show is expected sometime in 2023 because the character is set to appear first in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is scheduled to debut on November 11, 2022. It is currently unknown if she is expected to appear in Armor Wars, the show that will revolve around Don Cheadle's War Machine and also be heavily influenced by Tony Stark, but there's certainly a distinct possibility of that happening.

Today for Disney+ Day, Disney released the brand new logo for Ironheart. It evokes the handmade feel of the earliest suit made by Stark in 2008's Iron Man, seen when he escaped the Ten Rings compound after being kidnapped. This logo reminds fans that the series will be bringing his legacy full circle, showcasing another hyperintelligent inventor starting from the bottom. Check out the full-size logo below:

In Spring of this year, Marvel hired Chinaka Hodge, who previously wrote on TNT's Snowpiercer series, to be head writer for the series. Ironheart will be a 6-episode season, like many MCU spinoff shows including the upcoming Hawkeye. So far, nothing else has been revealed about the show, including any other cast members. Production has not yet begun, so further details will likely be disclosed when development progresses closer to that date.

Ironheart is still nowhere close to being completed, but the release of this logo shows Marvel's commitment to keeping audience interest up until Riri can be properly introduced next year. The MCU has found a lot of ways to carry on the mantles of many of the heroes that have departed the franchise, including Yelena Belova the slot of her older sister Black Widow, Falcon stepping into the shoes of Captain America, and Hawkeye passing the torch to Kate Bishop, so it makes sense that Ironheart will be treating the character in a similar way. Regardless of the wait, it will be exciting to have another Iron Man-esque entity joining the ensemble soon.
