Marvel Studios' Ryan Meinerding reveals an Iron Man poster celebrating Tony Stark's biggest moments in the MCUIron Man is arguably the most important Avenger in the Marvel Universe, as he kicked off the movie over a decade ago. Luckily, the first Iron Man film was well-received, paving the way for dozens of other movies and the emergence of Marvel Studios as a force to be reckoned with. Though the Infinity Saga may have concluded with Avengers: Endgame, Tony Stark's mark will still be felt on the MCU for years to come.

In fact, despite his sacrifice in Endgame, Iron Man could be seen on screen as soon as this year, with a rumored appearance in Black Widow. That film is a prequel, taking place between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, allowing for both Scarlett Johansson's character and potentially Iron Man to appear. Black Widow was introduced in Iron Man 2, making an appearance from Tony Stark in her first solo movie even more meaningful. However, Downey Jr. himself has been unwilling to admit to Iron Man's MCU return, likely under mandate from Marvel to keep his potential appearance a secret.

Honoring Iron Man's impact on the MCU, Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding shared a poster depicting Tony Stark's biggest moments. Due to the level of detail in the image, Meinerding included close up photos of different parts of the poster as well. Thanos and Hulk can both be seen, as well as different versions of Iron Man's armor. Meinerding explained in his caption he originally created the poster for last year's D23 Expo and was sharing it now for Robert Downey Jr.'s recent birthday. Check out the Iron Man poster below:

Even though Iron Man's time in the MCU may be over, Phase 4 is shaping up to be an exciting few years for Marvel. After Black Widow, the studio will release The Eternals, which covers a span of time the MCU has never explored. That will be followed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which was in the process of filming before the coronavirus shut down production. Fans are also excited about Spider-Man: Homecoming 3, especially because Spider-Man's fate in the MCU was recently up in the air. The Doctor Strange sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, will also debut in late 2021, making for a packed year for Marvel.

Despite these exciting new films, Meinerding's Iron Man poster is a wonderful way to celebrate where the MCU started out. If the first Iron Man film had flopped, not only would Marvel Studios be different or perhaps not exist at all, the Hollywood movie scene would also have been dramatically affected. Without Marvel, Disney wouldn't be the force it is today. Though fans are probably sad Iron Man's time in the present-day MCU is over, at least they can remember the impact he continues to have.
