Warning! Spoilers for Iron Man #11 below

The Living Tribunal just paid Iron Man a surprise visit and told the hero he's the only person who can restore balance in the Marvel Universe. In Iron Man #11, the cosmic juggernaut offers Tony Stark an assist, teleporting him from the mysterious planet he's been stuck on onto Galactus' ship, setting up an epic final battle against the villainous Korvac.

In Marvel's current Iron Man series, Korvac sought out greater power after being resurrected and revealed he would steal cosmic energies from Galactus' ship, Taa II, to turn into a God. Iron Man put together a team to take on the villain but was teleported to a faraway planet with no way of returning home. Separated from his friends, Tony revealed to Hellcat that he's using his morphine drip to get high to deal with his previous injuries and being stuck on a planet that there's little hope of leaving.

In Iron Man #11 by Christopher Cantwell, Angel Unzueta, Frank D'Armata, and VC's Joe Caramagna, Iron Man takes on Stilt-Man, who reveals he brought Tony (and others in his community) to the planet to prove he could be a leader while pulling murderous strings behind the scenes. After taking Stilt-Man down, Iron Man is visited by the Living Tribunal. The protector of the Multiverse informs Tony that the universe is on the verge of "catastrophic unbalance" and that only he can fix it.

Living Tribunal Marvel Comics Iron Man

The Living Tribunal tells Iron Man he needs to travel to Galactus' worldship immediately and stop Korvac before permanent damage is done to the Marvel Universe. Stark strikes a bargain with the Living Tribunal, saying he'll travel to Taa II if the cosmic entity sends all of the people who were trapped on the planet by Stilt-Man back to their original homes. The Living Tribunal agrees and sends both Iron Man and Avro-X to the Devourer of Worlds' massive ship.

It's quite telling how dire the situation is if the Living Tribunal himself needs to intervene. If Korvac successfully steals Galactus' ship's power, he will become one of the most powerful Marvel villains ever. Knowing his friends are going after Korvac and realistically stand little chance against him, Iron Man was more than willing to oblige and leave the mysterious alien planet. Can Tony Stark stop Korvac before it's too late? Will his team make it out in one peace? Readers will learn more soon, as Iron Man #11 by Marvel Comics is in comic book stores now.
