Warning! Spoilers for Iron Man #15 by Marvel Comics

It's official; Iron Man has become one of the most - if not the most - powerful Avenger ever. In Iron Man #15, Tony Stark's transformation into a god powered by the Power Cosmic is fully revealed. The hero gains unfathomable power, which allows him to battle Korvac among the cosmos. However, while fighting the supervillain, Iron Man realizes that he's capable of so much more than ever before with his new god powers.

Iron Man's journey to becoming a god has been filled with many highs and lows. Tony Stark barely survived his previous battle with Korvac and needed lots of morphine to recover from a broken neck (and more) as he was temporarily stuck on a distant planet. Despite never reaching 100% and his suit being the only thing keeping him alive, Iron Man went to Taa II to stop Korvac from obtaining Galactus' Power Cosmic. Unfortunately, Korvac gained the powers despite Iron Man's best efforts, leading Tony to reach into the same power and become a god as well.

In Iron Man #15 by Christopher Cantwell, Ibraim Roberson, Frank D'Armata, VC's Joe Caramagna, and Alex Ross, Iron Man battles Korvac as both characters take massive forms in space. The battle is deadly, as Korvac ends up smashing Iron Man through a planet, killing countless lives in the process, which upsets the hero greatly. Tony Stark realizes that despite being a god for a few minutes, he's got incredible ideas of how to use his powers - which he calls incredible and effortless. The Power Cosmic ultimately upgrades his body and mind making him one of the most powerful Avengers ever.

Iron Man Iron God

Understanding his body has become a vessel for the Power Cosmic, Tony Stark looks across many realities, choosing a universe without a single living molecule. Iron Man puts his new god powers to the test, opening a rift to the universe (last seen in Doctor Doom) where all life has been eradicated. However, inside the dead universe, Stark realizes his Earth could be killed next. So he promises to use his powers to build a better universe, saying he can make it "so much more." Meanwhile, he calls on the Living Tribunal and other cosmic juggernauts to take Korvac away - but not before getting their blessing to use his powers for good. The group tells Iron Man they'll be watching no matter the outcome.

Iron Man has gone from a mere mortal with incredible resources and intellect into a full-blown god in a short matter of time. Being one of the most powerful Avengers ever due to the Power Cosmic represents the latest challenge for the hero - as time will tell if he will live up to his promise to make the Earth a better place or whether his new power will corrupt him. Regardless, things are about to get much wilder for Tony Stark from here on out. Iron Man #15 is in comic book stores now.
