Warning! Spoilers for Avengers Tech-On #2 by Marvel Comics below

In Avengers Tech-On #2 by Marvel Comics, Iron Man has a surprising solution to making sure his fellow Avengers get their powers after they were stripped away by the Red Skull: He'll add them to their new armors. Yes, Tony Stark used his advanced tech to give his powerless Avengers mech-suits that pretty much recreated their powers in unlikely but impressive ways.

In the current Avengers Tech-On miniseries, the superteam was made powerless after Red Skull obtained the remaining dust of the Infinity Stones after they were destroyed and used it to strip Marvel's heroes of their powers. Earth's Mightiest Heroes scrambled as he took their abilities away. Red Skull turned Captain America back into a skinny, small man, Wolverine was put on life support as his adamantium in his bones started killing him, and the Thing was turned back into his human form. Without their abilities, Tony Stark used his mind and resources to create custom Iron Man armors for each hero - and it turns out they back a similar wallop as when they had powers.

In Avengers Tech-On #2 by Jim Zub, Jeff "Chamba" Cruz, and VC's Travis Lanham, the Avengers test out their new armors against the Red Skull. The heroes quickly find out the powers that Iron Man gave them, as Captain America can absorb a powerful blast of energy from the villain. At the same time, Wolverine can suddenly fight, despite earlier being given what seemed like a death sentence. Each hero can also use their old powers through the armors. The next day, Iron Man fills in the team how he could replicate their powers - and the answer is somewhat complicated.

Iron Man Armor

Tony Stark reveals each suit as an onboard A.I. system that learns each time they practice with the suits. In Captain Marvel's case, her armor can fly, has super-strength, and can absorb energy emissions. Meanwhile, Wolverine's suit somehow replicates his healing factor, keeping him alive. Meanwhile, Black Panther's powers are replicated as the hero notes it's not exactly the same as before, but it's still amazing. Finally, Iron Man tells him he used data from Avengers HQ and teamed up with Spider-Man to create the breakthrough.

Considering Avengers Tech-On is a non-canon story in the Marvel Universe, the story uses a log of fancy buzzwords to explain the impossible - even in the world of superheroes. In no situation should Iron Man be able to recreate his fellow heroes' powers inside armors. Why would he need to real Avengers when he could do it all himself? It's a ridiculous leap in logic, but for a comic that's more about action and pure fun and isn't trying to ground itself in realism, it's forgivable. Just don't think too hard, and you'll have a fun time reading the comic. Avengers Tech-On #2 is in comic book stores now.
