Warning! Spoilers for Iron Man #14 by Marvel Comics

Tony Stark is evolving into a being of a higher power, as Iron Man is about to become a god in the pages of Marvel Comics. In a brand new preview for Iron Man #14, Tony Stark is turning into the strongest version of Iron Man yet, as he'll trade in his usual armor for something much more powerful. But first, the hero undergoes a unique transformation process.

Iron Man's journey to becoming a god has been filled with numerous twists and turns. After learning Korvac intended on stealing the Power Cosmic from Galactus' worldship Taa II, Tony Stark assembled an unlikely team of heroes to stop the villain. However, after being sent away to a distant planet across the galaxy, Iron Man made it to Taa II and watched as Korvac successfully stole the ship's powerful energy. In a last-ditch effort to stop Korvac, Iron Man decided to expose himself to the same energy of the Power Cosmic, which is changing the hero in a big way.

In a new preview for Iron Man #14 (H/T Graphic Policy) by Christopher Cantwell, Cafu, Angel Unzueta, Frank D'Armata, and VC's Joe Caramagna, readers are taken inside Iron Man's dream-like state after he absorbed the Power Cosmic. In his armor, Tony Stark lays on a bed and drifts through space as he separates from his physical form. He records the process and is at a loss for words, guessing his brain "is wildly firing off synapses as the power binds" with his entire body and armor. Iron Man admits he didn't think of the consequences of touching the Power Cosmic while still suited up in his armor.

Iron Man Becomes God

It appears Iron Man is being sent down a path of his own memories and existence as his brain tries not to overload after gaining the Power Cosmic. Since there's no direct playbook in what's supposed to happen when transforming into a god, Iron Man is likely on a unique journey of self-retrospection as his brain, body, and armor figure out how to deal with the overwhelming power he's processing/about to receive.

Can Tony Stark's body and armor handle the overwhelming energy of the Power Cosmic? And, where will his journey into becoming a god take him next? Readers will find out more when Iron Man #14 by Marvel Comics comes to comic book stores on Wednesday.
