Warning! Spoilers for Iron Man #12 by Marvel Comics below

In a brand new preview for his ongoing series, Iron Man has arrived inside Galactus' warship Taa II but is immediately met with some incredibly dangerous defense protocols. To stop Korvac from stealing the powers of the Devourer of Worlds' home base and using them to become a god, the Living Tribunal teleported Iron Man and Avro-X to the massive ship. Now, they've got to stop the villain before it's too late.

Tony Stark's recent adventures have seen him get stuck on a planet far from Earth, as Stilt-Man ran a seemingly peaceful colony of the stranded survivors. However, when Iron Man and Avro-X (essentially the Canadian version of Iron Man) figured out Stilt-Man was responsible for their arrival and the fact they couldn't leave, they took him down. Stark, whose team on Earth went after Korvac without him, was then met by the Living Tribunal, who told him the villain's plan would cause an incredible cosmic imbalance in the universe and that only he could stop him. In turn, Stark and Avro-X were teleported straight to Galactus' ship, Taa II.

In a new preview of Iron Man #12 by Christopher Cantwell, Angel Unzueta, Frank D'Armata, and VC's Joe Caramagna, Iron Man and Avro-X navigate their way on Galactus' massive warship. Thankfully for the pair, Galactus isn't home when they arrive, meaning their mission is significantly less deadly than it could be. But that doesn't mean Iron Man and Avro-X are in the clear. The ship detects intruders are on board, and several defensive protocols begin, launching lasers and projectiles at them. Avro-X gets hit pretty hard, but the two heroes continue to maneuver through Galactus' warship to get to the ship's main power source before Korvac.

The defense mechanisms on Taa II are seemingly just the beginning of attacks against Iron Man and Avro-X. If the heroes make it past Galactus' built-in protocols, then there's a good chance they'll have to take on Korvac. The mission could get even more dangerous, as the alarm could have alerted Galactus that there were people aboard his ship. Taking on Korvac and Galactus would be a nightmare scenario for Iron Man. Future previews have revealed Iron Man will gain some powers of a God himself, so something big is about to go down.

Iron Man and Avro-X are putting their own lives in jeopardy to prevent Korvac from becoming a God. Can the heroes beat Korvac to the punch and prevent him from gaining the massive powers? And will Galactus show up to throw the situation even into more chaos? Readers will find out when Iron Man #12 comes to comic book stores this week.
