However, Tony Stark is trapped by one of the Progenitor's defense mechanisms, which sees him finally facing judgment in the Marvel Universe. The Celestial is Rewriting Iron Man's Tragic Origin

Iron Man is approached by his first suit of armor, which tells him that while Ho Yinsen didn't die by his repulsor blasts, he still was the first person to die for Tony Stark and his suit. His armor says that Yinsen kept Stark alive, while the armor kept him alive while asking him if it was "worth it?" With Iron Man about to take on his numerous armors in his judgment, the comic is redefining his tragic origin as he is being forced to confront the dark moments that led to him becoming a hero.

Tony Stark already has survivor's guilt from the incident involving Ho Yinsen, so seeing him die again, only this time, directly at his hands, is going to make for quite a tragic exploration of his origin. The Celestial will show Iron Man how becoming a hero led to death and destruction around him - including Ho Yinsen's life being sacrificed. Will Iron Man pass his judgment, or is his dark past too much to overcome? Readers will find out more when A.X.E.: Avengers #1 from Marvel Comics arrives in comic book stores on Wednesday.
