Warning! Spoilers for A.X.E.: Judgment Day #1 by Marvel Comics

Tony Stark hasn't learned his lesson about playing god as Iron Man is once again about to help a faction of the Eternals awaken the Celestial currently moonlighting as the Avengers' home base. In A.X.E.: Judgment Day #1 by Marvel Comics, Iron Man agrees to help Makkari and Ajak bring the Celestial Progenitor back to life to stop the war between the Eternals and the X-Men. While his intentions are good, Stark playing god again might not be the best strategy for the hero, given his recent challenging experiences with godhood.

The Avengers currently operate out of the corpse of the Celestial Progenitor, as the space god was hollowed out and refurbished to serve as Earth's Mightiest Heroes' home base. However, their new headquarters has put them in direct conflict with the Eternals, who sought answers about their true purpose by breaking into the Celestial much to the frustration of the Avengers. However, with war breaking out between the Eternals and X-Men, a split faction of the cosmic heroes are seeking Iron Man's help in bringing the god back to life to stop the fight before it's too late.

In A.X.E.: Judgment Day #1 by Kieron Gillen, Valerio Schiti, Marte Gracia, and VC's Clayton Cowles, The Prime-Eternal, Druig, unleashes his forces on the X-Men by sending the Uni-Mind and Uranos the Undying at the mutants - with the latter attack resulting in the near destruction of Arakko. As the Avengers gather in their Celestial headquarters to figure out what to do next after capturing Sersi and interrogating her about what she knows, Ajak and Makkari break into the base. Upon encountering the superteam, they reveal the only way the endless attack of the Eternals can be stopped is through building a god and rewriting the scripture. They ask Iron Man to help make them a god.

Tony Stark, who just became a god himself after obtaining the Power Cosmic and nearly killing his closest allies and himself for good, entertains the idea of making a god. Iron Man asks the Eternals how they plan on doing so. Ajak and Makkari reveal they already have everything they need, referring to the Avengers' Celestial base and reawakening the Progenitor. It's a risky plan, but Stark seems on board.

Ajak and Makkari want to stop Druig and the Eternals from destroying mutants and unleashing a potentially endless war on their world. Still, their plan to reawaken the Celestial Progenitor seems incredibly dangerous, as releasing a literal space god into the mix could have serious repercussions. However, Iron Man, who's recently messed with godhood, seems open to the idea, as he will likely help the outcast Eternals and reawaken the Avengers' Celestial base. What possibly could go wrong?
