Tony Stark's worst nightmare is coming true, as Iron Man will be forced to face every suit he's ever made, including his Hulkbusters, after his armors are turned against him. In a new preview for Iron Cat #5 by Marvel Comics, Sunset Bain will corrupt every Iron Man armor, including his very first suit, as Stark and Black Cat will need to take on every single suit he's ever built in what's set to be one of his biggest challenges yet.
Iron Man and Black Cat have been forced to work together after Felicia Hardy revealed that someone had stolen the Iron Cat suit she made with Tony Stark's technology and is trying to kill her with it. In Iron Cat #1 from Marvel Comics, Tamara Blake, Hardy's ex-girlfriend and former training partner, reconfigured the Iron Cat armor and turned it into her own suit. Blake wants revenge on Black Cat for killing their mentor, Black Fox, not realizing the circumstances that forced the antihero to do so. Felicia is turning to Tony for help, but it seems Iron Cat is the least of their worries, as the conclusion of the miniseries will feature Iron Man battling every suit he's ever made, including his Hulkbusters.
Marvel Comics shared its upcoming solicits for October with a brand new look at Iron Cat #5. The miniseries finale will feature Iron Man's legacy getting "set on fire" by his former ally Sunset Bain, better known as the villain, Madame Menace. His former flame will have seemingly uploaded herself to A.I. and will use her technological prowess to hack into his armors. Madame Menance will have corrupted all his armors, from the original suit he escaped a cave with to Iron Man's Hulkbusters. In Iron Cat, Iron Man and Black Cat's partnership is built around battling their evil exes, so Madame Menace corrupting every suit of armor to kill her former lover (and Felicia Hardy) is par for the course. However, while Tony Stark has taken on his tech before, fighting everything from his first suit to his Hulkbusters and everything in between feels like an impossible challenge, even for someone as brilliant as Iron Man.
Felicia Hardy and Tony Stark will continue their unlikely team-up and suit up in their own armors to take on every suit of Iron Man armor ever made. The pair will hopefully come out victorious, despite the odds stacked against them. However, given the sheer number of suits Iron Man has made over the years, beating his own corrupted creations, including his Hulkbuster armors, is going to be extremely difficult and emotionally taxing for the hero - if he can even do it. Iron Cat #6 by Marvel Comics arrives in comic book stores in October.
