This week, Marvel Comics revealed a handful of new comic book series, including Avengers Forever, which will see Tony Stark become the Invincible Ant-Man. As Jason Aaron's Avengers run further taps into the Multiverse, the acclaimed author will pen a new series that features a brand new version of Tony Stark suiting up as Marvel's smallest hero. Yes, Stark won't be Iron Man but will become Ant-Man and join a Multiversal Avengers team.

Marvel Comics announced eight new series this week, with each offering bringing some unique to the table. Devil's Reign by Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto spins out their acclaimed Daredevil run and will feature Kingpin taking on Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Timeless from Jed MacKay, Kev Walker, Joe Bennett, and Mark Bagley will follow Kang the Conqueror protecting the 616-timeline. Benjamin Percy, Joshua Cassara, and Frederico Vicentini will continue Wolverine's adventures with X Lives/X Deaths of Wolverine. She-Hulk will return to practicing law in Rainbow Rowell and Roge Antonio's She-Hulk. Dan Slott, Carlos Pacheco, and Rachael Stott will tell a grand Fantastic Four story in Reckoning War. Lastly, an unnamed creative team will take on a brand new Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur series.

One of the most intriguing announcements from Marvel Comics was Avengers Forever by Jason Aaron and Aaron Kuder, which will continue the Multiversal tales that were just introduced in the writer's current Avengers run. The series will star a version of Tony Stark who is an archaeologist who will become the Invincible Ant-Man and team up with some of the most incredible Avengers from across different realities.

Avengers Forever

The adventures almost seem like a new What If...? story. However, it's likely the Invincible Ant-Man will encounter Earth-616's Avengers as he will take on some of the biggest threats from across the Multiverse. Last month, Aaron revealed a new Multiversal Masters of Evil team, consisting of dark versions of Wolverine, Thanos, Iron Man, and Doctor Doom. With villainous threats trying to control the Multiverse, Marvel's greatest heroes - including the new Invincible Ant-Man - will assemble to fight back and save not just their own Earths but others across different realities.

Even in different timelines, Tony Stark finds a way to use technology to become a hero. In this case, instead of Iron Man, he'll become the Invincible Ant-Man and join one of the strongest teams of Avengers ever to help save the Multiverse. Will he be able to stop the biggest villains across different Marvel Universes? Readers will find out more when Avengers Forever comes to comic book stores in December 2021.
