Hot Toys has announced two tremendous new Iron Man action figures to add to their popular range.
This year is the 10-year anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it seems Hot Toys intend to celebrate that in style. The company has produced dozens of sixth-scale figures of Iron Man over the years, even releasing a repainted Mark 47 figure in honor of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Now they're returning to some of the Armored Avenger's classic looks, with the Mark IV from Iron Man 2. There's even a $635 version of the model including a stunning support gantry.
This new 1/6th scale figure stands "approximately 12.50in" in height, with the support gantry standing at 15.74in. The model itself features an individually painted Tony Stark head that carefully recreates Robert Downey Jr's likeness from Iron Man 2. It features pairs of interchangeable shoulder-and-forearm armor panels, each containing potential weapons. The chest armor can be detached to reveal the interior mechanical design, and the chest includes an LED-lighted Arc reactor panel. There are interchangeable hands, including white-light LED repulsors.

The models feature over 30 points of enhanced articulation, allowing fans to effortlessly recreate scenes from Iron Man 2. Accessories include a pair of red-framed sunglasses, a donut box (complete with donut), and a coffee cup. The Suit-Up Gantry has five mechanical arms with movable rolls, with a staggering 80 points of articulation.
Although Tony Stark's armor has changed with every film, the Mark IV remains one of the most popular. Visually, it's similar to many of Iron Man's classic looks over in the comics. It strikes a nice balance between the red and the gold, where recent iterations have tended to focus on the gold (or even use grey). As a result, fans will be delighted to get a chance to purchase a Hot Toys model of this armor.
It's safe to say Hot Toys has other Iron Man figures in the works. Stark will sport a new look in this year's Avengers: Infinity War, donning a suit that seems to be inspired by the 'Prime Armor' in the comics. Where previous Iron Man armors have used palm-repulsors to stabilize flight, this new suit displays bug-flap wings. If this new suit follows the pattern of the comics, it will be composed of nanotech, and Stark will be able to switch it up with ease. Considering Hot Toys even released a repainted model in honor of Spider-Man: Homecoming, fans can certainly expect to see an Infinity War version.
