The next of Marvel's Defenders-verse Netflix shows to return will be Iron Fist, starring Finn Jones as Danny Rand, and while we don't have an exact release date just yet, we do know that Iron Fist season 2 will premiere before the end of 2018. We'll most likely get an exact release date at San Diego Comic-Con in July, where Iron Fist will be one of the focal points of the Marvel TV panel.

Of course, we last saw Danny Rand very recently, as Jones guest-starred in an episode of Luke Cage season 2. Iron Fist and Power Man were a tight-knit team in the comics, where they started an enterprise called Heroes For Hire that allowed them to use their powers for good, while also making enough money to keep the lights on. The two first met in last year's team-up show The Defenders, which brought the street-level heroes of New York together to fight ninjas and save the city.

Filming on Iron Fist season 2 wrapped in mid-May, and while there's no official synopsis yet, we do know from set photos that Danny will have to fight an old friend once again. Rosario Dawson, who has played skilled nurse and superhero magnet Claire Temple in several of the Marvel/Netflix shows so far, will be back for Iron Fist season 2, as will Danny's friend and ally Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick). The second season will also add Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness) to the cast, though we don't yet know who she's playing.

Luke Cage season 2 - Luke and Iron Fist

Luke Cage season 2 and Jessica Jones season 2 both released on Netflix about seven months after they wrapped filming, so if Iron Fist season 2 follows a similar timeframe we may have to wait until December to see more episodes. After that the next Marvel/Netflix show to return will be Daredevil, which wrapped filming on season 3 at around the same time as Iron Fist season 2, so we may see the two shows return at around the same time. The Punisher season 2 began filming in March, so we can expect to see Jon Bernthal back as Frank Castle some time next year.

Given that Finn Jones made an appearance in the second season of Luke Cage, there's a possibility that Mike Colter will return the favor by appearing in Iron Fist season 2. At the very least we'll probably see some of the usual crossover characters, like Jeri Hogarth (Carrie Anne Moss) and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson).
