One of the key characters that will need to be cast perfectly in this new version of the team is Sue Storm aka Invisible Woman. Sue is usually seen as the one who is keeping the team together and is very much the heart of the Fantastic Four. The role will need an actor who can be that central figure. Here are some of the actors we want to see play Invisible Woman in the MCU.

10. Elizabeth Banks

Elizabeth Banks in Wet Hot American Summer First Day of Camp

Elizabeth Banks has been charming audiences in movies for years now. She is a very skilled comedic actor appearing in such films as The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Pitch Perfect. She has also appeared in some bigger, action-heavy roles like The Hunger Games, Power Rangers, and the upcoming Charlie's Angels.

Though Banks can be funny and charming, she also has a real intensity to her performances. She could easily play the authoritative semi-leader of the Fantastic Four. And given her recent work, she might also be a candidate to direct the film.

9. Emilia Clarke

Emilia Clarke is obviously best known for her role in Game of Thrones as Daenerys Targaryen. While that show had a controversial end, especially concerning her character, Clarke has always been a compelling and entertaining presence on the show. She seems like a charming and hilarious person in interviews.

A role like the Fantastic Four could allow Clarke to show off that side of her. The MCU likes to allow their actors to embrace their comedic side, but Clarke can also provide the warm-hearted presence of Invisible Woman with the determination of a hero.

8. Gillian Jacobs

Gillian Jacobs might not be the most famous name on this list, but she continues to be a very entertaining actor in all her work. Jacobs first came to audience's attention for her role as Britta in Community. Since then, she has done stellar work in the series Love as well as an excellent turn in Don't Think Twice.

Jacobs is another actor with a gift for comedy which seems to be such a big part of these movies. It would be nice to see a more comedic take on the character who is usually the serious one in the group. Jacobs has also shown she can play those more emotional moments when given the chance.

7. Lily James

Lily James is a rising star in the movie business and has appeared in a number of high-profile projects in recent years. She burst on the scene with a star-making performance in Cinderella. Since then we've seen her in projects as varied as Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, Baby Driver and Yesterday.

James is one of those actors who you can't help but be drawn to. She has shown a great range of talents and effortless charm. She might be a bit young for the role of Sue Storm, but depending on the rest of the cast, she could be a perfect fit.

6. Emily Blunt

Emily Blunt in Looper

The role of Invisible Woman would certainly benefit from a skilled actor, but it is a superhero movie so it will need someone who can play the action hero as well. Thankfully Emily Blunt covers both areas.

Blunt has been giving amazing performances for years now but recently she has become one of Hollywood's biggest badasses. With movies like Sicario, The Edge of Tomorrow and A Quiet Place, Blunt has shown a hard edge that goes along with her sweet, caring performances in lighter films.

5. Samara Weaving

Samara Weaving is probably the least known actor on this list but that's likely to change very soon. Weaving is an Australian actress who has appeared in a few big films including a hilarious small role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. She will next be seen in the horror-comedy Ready or Not.

Weaving is an incredibly funny actor who can also access that more emotional and badass side. Ready or Not looks like it will showcase all aspects of her range and could be a nice break-through for her before potentially joining the MCU.

4. Kerry Washington

Olivia Pope as Kerry Washington in Scandal

Kerry Washington is an incredibly powerful actor who can always be counted on to deliver outstanding performances. She is best known for her role as Olivia Pope in the series Scandal. She also appeared in a fantastic role in Django Unchained but she truly deserves a big movie to show her talents.

Washington's strength, warmth, and humor would make her an ideal Sue Storm. She feels like the person who could lead this band of misfits through their darker times and also kick serious ass in the action scenes.

3. Emma Stone

Emma Stone has gone from the charming girl in comedy movies to a legitimate movie star. She is one of those performers that seems to be able to do anything and is always entertaining to watch. She has dipped her toe in the superhero genre with the Amazing Spider-Man movies but it feels like time she plays a hero.

Stone commands the screen but also works very well in ensemble films. She can certainly play the sweet, nurturing and funny side of Sue, but it would also be fun to see her access the action hero side of herself.

2. Claire Foy

Claire Foy is an amazing British actor who is beginning to impress audiences everywhere with her powerful performances. She is best known for her award-winning performance in The Crown where she plays Queen Elizabeth. She also recently starred in the underrated First Man where she gave another incredible performance.

Foy's performances always feel genuine and like a real person. She can play the quiet and sensitive types who explode with power and emotion when necessary. Seeing her bring those talents to Sue Storm would only elevate the film.

1. Jodie Comer

Jodie Comer might not be a name everyone is familiar with but anyone who has seen Killing Eve will agree that she should be cast in everything. Comer plays Villanelle, a world-class assassin with a twisted and dark sense of humor. Comer is brilliant in a very complex role, creating an unforgettable television character.

Comer is a real badass in the role, making you believe she is one of the deadliest people on the planet. She is also laugh-out-loud funny. While this might not seem like Sue Storm, it's proof of Comer's talents and that she'd probably be great in any role.
