Prime Video has not provided many updates on the status of Invincible season 2 during that time, with even the show's official Twitter account opting to post vague teases of season 2's progress instead of giving a hardcore fandom concrete news.

Animated shows, in general, can take more time to make than live-action shows because the animation process is more time-consuming. It also did not help that work on Invincible season 2 was being done during the pandemic, which might have slowed work on the series, including possibly delaying when actors could begin recording their dialogue. All that is known is that the cast and crew are working hard to make the show. When Invincible Season 2 Will Release
