The Inverted Spire is one of the six Grandmaster Nightfalls that Guardians can complete in Destiny 2 during Season of the Haunted, and it happens to be the GM in rotation from August 2, 2022, to August 7, 2022. All Grandmaster Nightfalls have their own set of Mission Modifiers that significantly increase the challenge of completing one, even from Master to Grandmaster itself. This week, the Inverted Spire is also the feature Nightfall where players can receive double rewards for completing it, allowing them to get additional drops of Ascendant Shards, Enhancement Prisms, Exotic armor, and The Hothead Rocket Launcher in Destiny 2.

Standard Mission Modifiers of all Grandmaster Nightfalls are active for the Inverted Spire, such as Champion Foes, Match Game, Equipment Locked, Extinguish, Limited Revives, Champions Mob, and Shielded Foes. Enemies with Solar, Void, and Arc shield are present in the Inverted Spire, so each member of the Fireteam should be able to deplete at least two of the shields with their weapons and abilities. Although there is an Acute Arc Burn active, allowing Guardians to deal 25% more Arc damage at the cost of receiving 50% more, the best Supers for each class are those that cause massive boss damage. Golden Gun, Nova Bomb, and Thundercrash for the Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans will allow fireteams to decimate the final boss quickly.

The Inverted Spire contains Unstoppable and Barrier Champions. To quickly defeat the Unstoppable Champions, Guardians should use a Scout Rifle with Adaptive Munitions. The Pointed Inquiry and Staccato-46 Scout Rifles in Destiny 2 are Void and Solar weapons, respectively, allowing both rifles to stun Unstoppable Champions and destroy the shields of all three types of enemies thanks to the Adaptive Munitions perk. To counter Barrier Champions, Guardians should use Arbablest as their Kinetic weapon. Lastly, having the Revitalizing Blast armor mod equipped will cause Champions to ignite whenever they are stunned, dealing additional damage to them and those in the vicinity of the blast.

How To Complete The Inverted Spire GM Quickly In Destiny 2

To complete The Inverted Spire GM quickly, Guardians should keep their distance from enemies as best they can and focus fire on foes with their Scout Rifles. The same principle applies when attacking a Champion, as the contestant Revitalizing Blast ignition will help dispatch the enemies the Champions as well. The Stormchaser Linear Fusion Rifle god roll is an excellent Power Weapon to use throughout this GM, as well as any Arc Rocket Launcher.

During the boss fight, quickly use the damage Supers on the giant Vex and immediately switch to Stormchaser. The mechanical menace's head is its critical spot until its knocked off, and then the center of its body will be the next location. If done correctly, the boss should almost be defeated during the first damage phase, requiring only a shot or two to quickly finish it off in the second.
