Why can’t we all just get along?
It seems that the marketing is really gearing up for the upcoming Peter Jackson-Neill Blomkamp sci-fi film, District 9. We finally saw a full length trailer that debuted last week online and alongside X-Men Origins: Wolverine in theaters, as well as some more viral marketing with an updated version of that trailer.
Adding to that, today we have a brand new poster for District 9 and it features an alien-themed target littered with bullet holes. Poor aliens, they just want to get home – at least, that’s what that one alien-insect dude said in the interview which was revealed in the uncensored version of the trailer. That's a must-see by the way, if you haven't already.
Here’s the poster:
It’s a pretty cool poster and I like seeing the ship in the background. As for the movie, I’m cheering for the Aliens!
This movie looks awesome and it’s not relying on a brand-name by being a prequel/sequel/spinoff/reboot or a bunch of A-list actors. Realism, originality and a super-interesting idea are their selling points. We all must support original films, they are a dying breed.
Do you dig the new poster?
District 9 opens for all humans only August 2009
