ABC's romantic reality show The Bachelor is so loved by audiences that it has spawned 25 seasons and counting. Audiences love the drama of the rose ceremonies, the arguments between contestants for not being on the show for the right reasons, and the suspense of who the Bachelor finally picks in the end.

In fact, the premise of the dating show is so exciting that the Chris Harrison-hosted show has spread to various corners of the globe. It is surprising how many countries have had at least a season or two of their versions of The Bachelor, replete with funny moments, dollops of drama, tons of romantic tension, and slightly tweaked sensibilities. Fans who can't get enough of the American show have plenty of other international series to dip their toes into.

Canada: The Bachelor Canada - Available On HBO Max

Hosted by Tyler Harcott and then Noah Cappe, the Canadian Bachelor has had three seasons so far.

Brad Smith and Bianka Kamber of The Bachelor stayed together for two years before splitting, Tim Warmels and April Brockman lasted less than a year, and Chris Leroux and Mikaela Whitman are also no longer together.

Australia: The Bachelor Australia - Available On HBO Max

The Aussie version of the show is as high stakes and dramatic as the American Bachelor, but there is a key difference in the format of the show.

Unlike in the USA, there is no Fantasy Suite in the Australian version of the series where the Bachelor and his top choice lady loves can get intimate without cameras poking about. In fact, there is no sex allowed on the set of The Bachelor: Australia.

New Zealand: The Bachelor New Zealand - Available On HBO Max

The NZ iteration of the show is unpredictable and in the best way. The first season had a fairytale coupling of Art Green and Matilda Rice, who didn't have a proposal, but are married today and have even had children together.

In the current season, which is the fourth, Moses Mackay and Annie Theis announced their breakup during the tell-all episode.

United Kingdom: The Bachelor UK - Available On HBO Max

While not a singular country, with The Bachelor UK, comes a whiff of royalty and some very popular leading men. In fact, the fifth season of the show saw Spencer Matthews as the object of affection, the younger brother of Pippa Middleton's husband!

Season 4 also had a hotshot as the protagonist: Gavin Henson, who is a professional rugby player.

Japan: Bachelor Japan (バチェラー・ジャパン) - Not Available To Stream In USA

Takumi Moriya Bando, an actor and artist, hosts the Japanese version of The Bachelor.

Hirotake Kubo, a University of Tokyo graduate and young entrepreneur with several flourishing business ventures to his name was chosen to be the first Bachelor in Japan, followed by Rintaro Oyaizu in season 2.

Vietnam: Anh Chàng Độc Thân (Single Guy) - Available On YouTube

The Vietnamese Bachelor differs in sensibilities and doesn't air scenes that show any nudity or intimacy between contestants.

However, the show got a lot of global attention when one female contestant, Minh Thu, confessed her love for another contestant, Truc Nhu, as opposed to the bachelor they were supposed to be wooing. They are reportedly in a relationship, according to Insider.

Switzerland: Der Bachelor - Not Available To Stream

The Swiss Bachelor and its contestants are pretty wild, some of them even going as far as to drink out of a woman's shoes!

There are eight seasons of this iteration of The Bachelor, with some of the episodes being shot in Thailand, Morocco, Dubai, and Paris. Male beauty pageant winners, footballers, entrepreneurs, and kickboxing champs have been cast as the coveted Bachelors.

Finland: Bachelor Suomi - Not Available To Stream

Adventure sports, fierce rivalry, and emotions on the high line are what defines the enchanting Finnish edition of The Bachelor.

Hannu Koistinen and Joni Lindlöf are the most eligible bachelors on the show, and the love bug finds its way to Finland as well. The Bachelor franchise has had some big controversies, and the drama is definitely in this version too.

Norway & Sweden: Ungkaren - Not Available To Stream

Initially, The Bachelor: Norway and The Bachelor: Sweden were separate shows, but in a surprise twist, they were merged into one show midway, leading to tensions between the two leading men.

The format got a bit of a change since Max Marius Almaas and Andreas Lauritzen were also now competing as bachelors. In the end, the Norwegian Almaas won.

Romania: Burlacul - Not Available To Stream

Romanians elevated the antics on The Bachelor when Andrei Andrei, a model and then Bachelor, chose to reject both the final two ladies and presented none with a rose.

In fact, another Bachelor, Vladimir Drăghia, was pulled from the show because of bad behavior and replaced by another.

Russia: The Bachelor Russia - Not Available To Stream

With Bachelors like Timur Batrutdinov, who is a stand-up comedian and TV host, and Timati, a multimillionaire rapper and father of two, the spectrum on The Bachelor Russia is vast.

The latter's appearance on the show caused outrage because of his having a girlfriend as recently as a month before the show was announced.

Ukraine: Bachelor Ukraine - Not Available To Stream

Watching a Ukrainian rose ceremony sounds amazing, and the show is as dreamy and grand as its American counterpart.

With more than 11 seasons, the debut season of The Bachelor: Ukraine starred Dancing With the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who had previously been offered a spot in the American version.

France: Bachelor, Le Gentleman Célibataire - Not Available To Stream

Hosted by Stéphane Rotenberg (seasons 1 to 3), Grégory Ascher (seasons 4 and 5), and then Boris Ehrgott (season 6), the French Bachelor first aired in 2003-2005, and then it had a big hiatus until 2013 and then again until 2016.

Curiously, the game show didn't reveal its contestant's last names when Adriano Cima Jodar was the Bachelor, only calling them by first names.

Poland: Kawaler Do Wzięcia - Not Available To Stream

There was only a single season of The Bachelor in Poland, known as Kawaler do wzięcia. Airing in 2003, the show cast Bartek Okowity as the Bachelor, whose attentions women were vying for. Unfortunately, not much is revealed about Bartek Okowity in English media.

Israel: HaRavak - Not Available To Stream

There have been two seasons of the Israeli Bachelor, better known as HaRavak. The first season aired in December 2009, with ex-Survivor contestant Guy Geyor being the hunk of the show.

In the second season, Israeli pop star Dudu Aharon was the Bachelor, but his relationship with his choice Danino didn't last very long.

Brazil: The Bachelor: Em Busca Do Grande Amor - Not Available To Stream

The single season of The Bachelor: Em Busca do Grande Amor was rife with controversy, as the Bachelor Gianluca Perino was accused of setting up the show by his chosen contestant, Aane Doux, who claimed that the entire show was a lie and Perino already was dating somebody during his stint in the show.

At this rate, the world will be switching over to international versions of The Bachelor for the theatrics of it all.
