Instant Dream Home is a show that finds inspiring families with difficult houses. A team of workers then secretly renovate the home in less than a day while the family is gone. There are several home improvement shows already on TV, but Instant Dream Home provides a thrill that isn't normally found in such a show.

The team with Instant Dream Home does their construction and designing in half a day while the family is with a mole that's working with Danielle and the others. After years off the air, Extreme Makeover Home Edition returned in 2020, with Jesse Tyler Ferguson replacing the show's previous host, Ty Pennington. This show is so beloved because of the heart-warming nature of what's being done for these deserving families.

I Wrecked My House is not as high-paced or thrilling as Instant Dream Home, but it's interesting enough, and the results are often fascinating.

Fixer Upper is possibly the most rewatchable reality TV show of all time. This home renovation series has a great episode format, excellent pacing, and one of the most authentic couples to come out of a show like this. Reception has always been positive, with fans awarding Fixer Upper an IMDb rating of 8 out of 10 and the show being nominated for multiple Emmys. This beloved show ended in 2018, but the couple has returned for a new show subtitled "Welcome Home," which aired its first season in 2021.

The Wall has a very different concept to Instant Dream Home. There are no home renovations, but it shares the same thrill. Both shows take kind and extraordinary people and change their lives. They can be suspenseful at times, but when/if it all works out, viewers are left with a heart-warming sensation. Unfortunately, because The Wall is a game show, devastating losses can and certainly have occurred. Fortunately, the show is not just about money, but about getting to know the families who play and being inspired to do great things, with or without reward.

The process is not as speedy as Instant Dream Home, but by taking their time, Zack and John can teach and appeal to viewers that are interested in going tiny.

The McGees are a quirky couple that give viewers a look at their lives, not just their occupations. The designers in Instant Dream Home also have their own quirks that make the show fun. While there isn't much time for the team to get the renovations done, the show still manages to give viewers a great idea of the personality each designer exhibits.
Coming Home

Like The Wall, Coming Home is an entirely different premise than Instant Dream Home. There is no home renovation, but the element of surprise and emotion are very present in this series. The production seeks out inspiring families with individuals away serving their country to surprise them with a reunion they'll never forget. Clips on YouTube of soldiers returning home often prompt a tear-jerking response from watchers. This show aims to provide this feeling in every episode.
