The Married At First Sight season 16 couples have tied the knot and are ready to develop their relationships with a nice honeymoon, which means it's time to reveal where the newlyweds traveled to unwind. While the weddings featured on MAFS are beautiful but on the small side, Lifetime's behind-the-scenes crew know how to impress their cast and viewers at home with extravagant honeymoon locations. From Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, to San Juan, Puerto Rico, each season's chosen tropical destination doesn't only provide the perfect opportunity to have some fun, but to also turn the dial on the romance setting.

Although some past honeymoons have gone down in flames, like Alyssa Ellman and Chris Collette's, Married At First Sight's Dr. Pepper Schwartz's latest matches are excited to dip their toes in the sand and briefly escape their lives in Nashville. While the five couples are all destined to encounter some problems, Kirsten Grimes and Shaquille Dillon, Jasmine Secrest and Airris Williams, Nicole Lilienthal and Christopher Thielk, Gina Micheletti and Clint Webb, and Domynique Kloss and Mackinley Gilbert can at least enjoy a nice time in the Caribbean first. Here's where the cast of MAFS season 16 traveled to celebrate their nuptials and what their getaways entailed.

The MAFS Season 16 Couples Traveled To Lucea, Jamaica

Although a few MAFS season 16 weddings were more awkward than romantic, like Kirsten and Shaquille's, the group was excited when they were gifted care packages with information on their honeymoon destination attached. While Clint's and his Gina, a MAFS season 16 couple, thought they were set for the Bahamas, the MAFS season 16 honeymoons were located in Lucea, Jamaica. The coastal town, which was established in the 18th century, is one of Jamaica's most popular tourist spots and has a population of about 6,000.

When the MAFS season 16 cast landed in Jamaica, they were taken to stay at the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa, an upscale honeymoon destination located right on the beach. The lavish resort, which offers all-inclusive packages at quite the cost, features four large pools, multiple well-stocked bars, an adults-only spa and wellness center, and even a water park for children. The Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton not only hosts nightly games and events but even an exclusive nightclub. Of course, the MAFS season 16 newlyweds who wish to explore Jamaica's natural environment also have a plethora of outdoor activities to choose from, such as ziplining, horseback riding, and cliff diving.

Although MAFS season 16 frontrunners Nicole and Chris are expected to have a good time in Jamaica, the same can't be said for the other four couples. Kirsten and Shaquille were forced to join the excursion late after Shaquille had to attend a job conference in Mississippi, while a preview of next week's episode showed Gina and Clint locked in a tense discussion over Gina's lack of physical attraction. Between Kirsten and Gina's issues with their husbands and rumors that Domynique and Mackinley's marriage won't make it to Decision Day, time will tell whether the MAFS honeymoons will be dominated by romance or drama.
