DC gained a fair amount of critical acclaim for its Injustice video game title and will build on the game's success, later this year. In just a couple of months, Injustice 2 drops across platforms and bring the greatest heroes and villains from the comic book publisher to life for players' entertainment.

In the lead up to Injustice 2's release, we've been given a lot of looks at all the new characters that will be available, teasing their updated looks and bevy of moves. While DC's heroes regularly get the spotlight across their media, the game trailers have been a great reminder of how many iconic villains the company also has at their disposal. Recent previews have shown Wonder Woman fighting her archenemy Cheetah, and confirmed the presence of the powerful Black Adam in the game. (That one's a bit of a no brainer, considering that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be playing Black Adam on the big screen, in the future.)

Now, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a new trailer highlighting even more rogues that players will be able to fight with when the game drops. The trailer above is led by the introduction of Gorilla Grodd - and unlike his appearances on The Flash TV show, the game will fully explore just how formidable his combination of strength and psychic abilities are. From there, we meet an updated version of Bane and an armored up Captain Cold. Finally, the game shows off its oddly-reptilian version of the Scarecrow, who comes wielding a scythe whip and looks to match his Arkham predecessor's penchant for towering over opponents, while toying with them.

The final shot of the trailer teases the arrival of Darkseid. As one of DC's core villains, its no surprise he'll be joining the fight. It's also safe to assume the villain will soon get his own full trailer, showing off what are sure to be an impressive array of moves. Of course, it won't all be villains that you can control in Injustice 2. The trailer pitted the rogues against a batch of heroes we've previously seen spotlighted, including Doctor Fate, Green Lantern, and Firestorm.

At this point, it's probably safe to assume that every major villain and hero from DC's roster will be playable in the Injustice 2 game. Still, it's exciting to get early looks at them in these trailers and see the game's updated—and heavily armored—takes on so many classic characters. With the rate at which things have been coming out, expect a new trailer for the game soon.
