The latest trailer for Injustice 2 not only introduces Catwoman in the game, but pits her against her fellow "Siren", Harley Quinn. So far, we've seen a number of trailers for the game's take on DC Comics' biggest names. Heroes like Firestorm, Green Arrow, and Green Lantern have all received the spotlight, showing off their bevy of moves and killer combos. However, the real fun of the Injustice franchise is the chance to take control of some of DC's most infamous villains, too.

The roster of rogues has run the gamut so far. We've seen powerhouses like Black Adam featured, increasing his clout before his movie starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson arrives sometime in the near future. We also got a video last week showing the debut of Gorilla Grodd and Scarecrow while teasing the appearance of Darkseid. And a few months back, some of DC's leading female characters got the spotlight in a video, showcasing Poison Ivy and Catwoman, along with a few others.

The newest Injustice 2 trailer from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (see the video above) puts Selina Kyle front and center. Not only is her superior agility highlighted, but her signature bullwhip will play into a number of her moves. Even more exciting, she can literally summon cats as weapons and also make a motorcycle appear out of thin air. The trailer also pays lip service to the Gotham City Sirens, who will get the movie treatment soon when Harley Quinn joins forces with Catwoman and Poison Ivy.

In the game, Harley is a blend of her new look and her classic design, with updated takes on her pair of hyenas from Batman: The Animated Series. During the trailer, Harley suggests she and Selina team up with Kate and Babs. While it's not made clear who these two women are, the first names that come to mind in DC Comics are Kate Kane and Barbara Gordon (Batwoman and Batgirl, respectively). Given the inverted nature of alliances in Injustice, this could indicate the two Birds of Prey will be joining the Sirens. Perhaps it's also a hint that DC's upcoming Batgirl will feature into the film version of the Sirens as well.

For fans of DC's female heroes and villains, Injustice 2 will give you plenty of options for characters to battle with. Wonder Woman foe Cheetah recently got her own trailer, and we've had a number of looks at Black Canary's sonic attacks so far. Given how often these trailers drop, expect a good deal more to premiere before the game comes out next month.

Injustice 2 arrives on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on May 16, 2017.
