The Inhuman Royal Family Members Get Their Own Posters

The three main members of the Royal Family from Marvel's Inhumans have been given their own character posters ahead of the show's release. In just two months, Inhumans will finally come to the big screen. Of course, it won't be in the way fans originally expected: the project was announced in 2014 as a movie. Instead, IMAX will help bring the series to life before it moves over to ABC for its limited run. We've already been given a number of glimpses at the new show thanks to a revealing trailer, but more is likely to come with Comic-Con just around the corner.

Ahead of this weekend's big convention, fans have been treated to an SDCC exclusive poster for the show, teasing the show's elite Royal Family. The show will attempt to bring that ruling group's complex history to life on the small screen. In the meantime, though, we have a new look at the three highest ranking members of the Royal Family in the form of some character posters.

The Inhumans Twitter account just sent out new looks at Black Bolt, Maximus, and Medusa. The individual posters are actually an expansion on a poster we saw for the series a few weeks back. Now we can get a better look at the more stylized take on the characters.

Both the Black Bolt and Maximus posters are notable for adding in a bit of color to the character's costumes that isn't on display in the actual show. Unfortunately, it just further highlights how the flair from the comics has been removed for the series.

The Medusa poster, meanwhile, gives us a better look at her signature hair in action. In the comics, her writhing mass of locks is incredibly strong and powerful, with Medusa able to control it at will. We've yet to see a single flutter of follicle movement in the trailer or photos, so the poster is at least a reminder that Medusa's hair will be on full display in the show.

All told, we've heard the show will feel very different from the comics. Part of this is in the design elements, but hopefully it won't also include a step down in terms of quality. The Royal Family have a long and fascinating history in Marvel Comics, so hopefully Inhumans will do them justice.

Inhumans debuts in IMAX on September 1, 2017, and on ABC on September 29.
