Black Bolt and Medusa are back together in new photos from episode 5 of Inhumans. ABC has finally seen their latest Marvel series launch to respectable ratings so far, but how much of an interest remains will be a major story to follow in the coming weeks. Inhumans will need to hold steady for the next month and a half to try and get a second season, which means they'll need to survive the splitting apart of the Royal Family that has hit the early parts of the debut season.

Over the course of the first episode, most of the Royal Family escaped to Earth in the middle of Maximus' takeover of Attilan. Thanks to the sudden nature of their departures, many of them did not have a chance to say goodbye and are now searching for one another on Hawaii. That is especially true for Black Bolt (Anson Mount) and Medusa (Serinda Swan), but they won't be without each other for too long.

SpoilerTV has released new photos from the fifth episode of season one, titled 'Something Inhumans This Way Comes,' as well as the synopsis. The photos are divided into two scenes: one showing Medusa and Black Bolt back together, and the other confirming Crystal (Isabelle Cornish) makes it to Earth too. The synopsis meanwhile teases an even bigger Royal Family reunion may be in store.

TIME IS RUNNING OUT TO REUNITE THE ROYALS, ON AN ALL-NEW EPISODE OF ‘MARVEL’S INHUMANS’ ON ABC

“Something Inhuman This Way Comes” – On the run from Auran’s forces, Black Bolt and Medusa reluctantly work with Louise to help locate the rest of their family. Back on Attilan, Maximus’ actions change the game completely, on an all-new episode of “Marvel’s Inhumans,” airing FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.

“Marvel’s Inhumans” stars Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Ken Leung as Karnak, Ellen Woglom as Louise, Sonya Balmores as Auran and Mike Moh as Triton. Henry Ian Cusick guest stars as Dr. Evan Declan.

The series is executive produced by Scott Buck, along with Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory with Buck serving as showrunner. This series is a Marvel and IMAX project and is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios.

“Something Inhuman This Way Comes” was written by Scott Reynolds and directed by Kevin Tancharoen.

If episode five is the first time Black Bolt and Medusa are reunited, it will end a three episode arc of them being separated on Earth. In the coming episodes, Inhumans can hopefully continue to build up the love between the two by seeing how much they miss one another. If not, having only a few scenes of them together may not make them being back together not as impactful as it should be. That said, they'll also be reunited with Karnak (Ken Leung) and will continue a relationship with Louise (Ellen Woglom). Japanese actress/model Sumire Matsubara is also pictured with them, but how she factors in and what role she plays in unknown.

Crystal coming to Earth meanwhile is a new development and gives us our first look at Chad James Buchanan in his unknown role. They clearly will strike some sort of bond (possibly even a romantic one) quickly it appears, now that Crystal is free from Maximus' mind games. How she got to Earth is unclear for the time being, as Lockjaw was sedated by Maximus' forces. If he helped Crystal get to Earth, then he too should be off of Attilan moving forward. As this episode kicks off the back half of the season, it is good to finally see the characters getting back together.
