A couple of days ago we were promised the first trailer, and our first look, at Quentin Tarantino's upcoming war film Inglourious Basterds on this coming Thursday. And I don't know about you but I'm bursting with excitement for this one, and the notion of a trailer in just a couple of days has my mouth watering already.
Well thanks to Entertainment Tonight! (where the first trailer is going to premiere) we have a sneak peek at it via a promo for the show. It's not a whole lot but enough to wet our appetite until the fuller trailer comes on Thursday.
Check it out below:
As expected the film looks like it's chock full of hip dialogue, stand-out characters and a general "cool as ice" feel we have come to know and love from Mr Tarantino. Brad Pitt looks bad-ass in what I expect is the lead role; although he only had a small role in the Tarantino-written True Romance (as a stoner if you remember), Pitt has proven he works well with Tarantino's dialogue.
We don't get to see many others of the cast in great detail in this promo but what we can see I think I can safely say the film looks like at the very least entertaining. And since he hasn't let me down yet I can't see this not slotting firmly into Tarantino's much loved body of work.
We'll be able to judge the look of the film when the fuller trailer (not sure if it's going to be a full trailer or just a teaser) gets released but as it is what do you think of this sneak preview?
Inglourious Basterds is set to premier at the Cannes Film Festival in May and has a theatrical release set for August 21st this year.
