A new promo for Marvel's Cloak & Dagger TV series features Avengers: Infinity War's Chadwick Boseman talking with the stars about how long he's been waiting to see their characters brought to life. Things are about to get very busy for Marvel TV, even as Infinity War continues breaking records at the box office. The season (and possibly series) finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is right around the corner, and it's likely to feature plenty of ramifications for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Meanwhile, Cloak & Dagger looks to tell a more intimate - but just as connected - story next month.

In just a few more weeks, Cloak & Dagger will finally premiere. The project has had a tumultuous journey, starting with being part of Marvel's original slate of films but then put on the backburner for the past decade. Things have changed considerably since then, although certain projects are still starting gestating around. Black Panther, for example, was also part of that original plan and had been stuck in development hell for 24 years. But, now that Wakanda has finally been realized on screen, it's time for the teen superhero duo of Cloak and Dagger to do the same soon.

As part of some dual promotion for Avengers: Infinity War and Cloak & Dagger, Freeform released a short new video on Twitter featuring the show's stars Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph interviewing Chadwick Boseman. After some brief discussion of Avengers 3, Boseman expresses his excitement for the new series and admits he's been waiting years for it to arrive. Take a look:

Boseman is a noted comic book fan, so it's no surprise that he's been keeping an eye on the development of the Cloak & Dagger project as it morphed from a movie into a TV series. Even then, it's been a long journey since it was first announced, with Runaways having jumped ahead as Marvel's first teen-centric show.

Cloak & Dagger will certainly have a different audience from the typical Marvel show, but it will have some competition. Just a few weeks after it premieres, the new season of Luke Cage will also arrive. It's not clear why exactly Marvel would want two of their offerings to come back-to-back, especially as much of the fall and winter are wide open for the MCU. Then again, MCU fans will likely be excited that so much new content is around the corner.

The latest trailer for Cloak & Dagger offered us an even better look at the duo's powers and Cloak's iconic namesake. It also teased that one of the characters wouldn't make it out of the season alive, which could be a bold move if Marvel follows through. Either way, fans like Boseman won't have to wait much longer.
