The first Indiana Jones 5 trailer has finally arrived, providing the first look at Harrison Ford's final Indiana Jones movie, which is officially titled Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Thanks to the movie's long development cycle, there has been a growing wait to see the first trailer for Indiana Jones 5. Audiences began to suspect that it could arrive soon once Disney began the film's marketing campaign and pushing the film heavily through new images. There have also been some plot details revealed that tease the film's 1960s New York setting.

Now, Lucasfilm has used CCXP 2022 to debut the first Indiana Jones 5 trailer to the thousands of people in attendance, but the studio also shared the footage for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny online. The footage shows Harrison Ford's highly anticipated return as Indiana Jones, which includes de-aging him for the film's opening flashback sequence. Everything Revealed In The Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Trailer

The first Indiana Jones 5 trailer includes plenty of highlights, with the biggest being Harrison Ford's return as his iconic character. He is unsurprisingly prominently featured in the footage for what will be his final appearance as Indiana Jones. The tone that Harrison Ford's return in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is pitch perfect. It is a good sign for what director James Mangold has in store with the movie and making sure that Ford exits the franchise on a high note, not only in terms of the film's quality but also with his performance. This includes a terrific CGI de-aged Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones 5.

The footage from Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny includes new shots of many of the other cast members, including Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, and Boyd Holbrook. It also included the first look at Antonio Banderas' character. Many of these cast members get to partake in the film's various action scenes, which all look to be quite thrilling so far. Whether it is Indy riding a horse and avoiding a train or a classic Indiana Jones Nazi punch, there is plenty for audiences to get excited about.

Of course, the Indiana Jones 5 trailer and title also provide some teases of the next artifact that Harrison Ford's character is after. The presence of the Indiana Jones 5 flashbacks and a de-aged Indiana Jones could indicate that this specific artifact is something that has alluded the archeologist for some time. There are several potential treasures featured in the Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny trailer, but it is unclear if the one Indy is looking for is actually known as the Dial of Destiny or if it is more symbolic of the character's journey. Either way, audiences will know more in June 2023.
