A new video covering the set of Indiana Jones 5 confirms that the long-awaited adventure sequel will see the return of the villainous Nazis. The film marks the first outing for Ford's iconic professor and archaeologist under the House of Mouse since Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm in 2012. It will also mark the first time in the franchise Steven Spielberg isn't stepping into the director's chair or George Lucas serving as a story or screenplay writer, with Logan filmmaker James Mangold taking the helm.

The currently-untitled Indiana Jones 5 has been in the works for over a decade since Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, with reports the studio had mulled every possibility from recasting the role to promoting Shia LaBeouf's Mutt to the center. After all of those rumors were debunked and multiple rewrites and stories were explored, the film was finally handed to Mangold, who is co-writing with Ford v. Ferrari duo Jez and John-Henry Butterworth. Now that shooting is underway with its all-star cast of Mads Mikkelsen, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Boyd Holbrook, new revelations are coming out from the set of the fifth film.

As production continues on the fifth installment in the Ford-fronted series, NYMR has revealed a new video covering the set of the film. The video not only features a train teasing an on-the-move set piece, it also shows the locomotive emblazoned with Nazi imagery across its cars and engine. The video can be viewed below:

Across the first three films in the franchise, the story was set in the mid-to-late 1930s and saw Indy forced to face off against the Nazis in his quest to find both the Ark of the Covenant and the Holy Grail. Not only appropriate to the era of the films' settings, the inclusion of the Nazis as a key antagonist tied well into their goal of conquering the world through any means necessary and the regime's reported exploration of the supernatural. With Kingdom of the Crystal Skull jumping the events ahead to 1957 to account for Ford's aging, it made sense to transition towards Soviet agents as a key opposition for Indy.

It's currently unclear how the Nazis will fit into Ford's final outing as Indy, though a number of other set photos have hinted towards a story involving multiple timelines and flashbacks. Should that be the case, it would be a nice treat for fans to get to see the archaeologist punch some Nazis one more time before hanging his hat up. With just over a year left until Indiana Jones 5 arrives in theaters, only time will tell the nature of their appearance in the film.
