Netflix's Indian Matchmaking has been in the news for various reasons. One of the weirdest is Akshay Jakhete having hots for his cousin Mansha Totla. Many fans think that the two shared a strong bond and had undeniable on-screen chemistry with each other.

After Aparna Shewakramani, the cast member who is constantly being talked about, is Boston graduate Akshay. The 25-year-old has rejected over 50 girls on the face value. And he is looking for a partner who is exactly like his mother, Preeti. Throughout the series, the mother is pressing her younger son to get married because then her elder son needs to have a baby. We don't know why one thing depends on the other. But she pressured her son to an extent, he could have married an inanimate object. Thankfully, he did find a girl, Radhika. And towards the end of the show, he got engaged to her. A recent update reports that their match didn't work out, and the Mumbaikar called the wedding off after citing trust issues as the reason.

Now, many Indian Matchmaking fans are saying that Akshay hardly had any connection with his then-fiancée, to begin with. On the contrary, he bonded really well with his 21-year-old cousin, Mansha. Throughout the series,  the "shy" guy met and talked to his cousin without any hesitation, and their conversation seemed pretty organic. In fact, he spoke to his cousin more than he spoke to his bride-to-be! Akshay and Mansha looked emotionally invested in each other. So much so that one fan said on Twitter, "Can we please talk about the odd sexual tension between Akshay & his cousin." Another one chimed in and tweeted, "The only real love story going on here is Akshay and his cousin." Check out one more tweet below:

Akshay didn't show much enthusiasm while talking about any of his potential matches. Still, his face used to lit up at the mention of this cousin. The two took out time to meet each other, went on to have a couple meetings (let's call them dates), and stayed in touch through phone calls. Although it sounds really weird, many viewers think that these cousins do have some kind of romantic feelings.

Perhaps, they both wanted to come across as instantly likable personalities on camera but eventually ended up being called a romantic couple. Did the creator of the show or the editor notice the intimacy between the pair as well? We don't think so!
