Update: The Incredibles 2 trailer is now online!

The full trailer for The Incredibles 2 - or another kind of preview - arrives Wednesday, February 14, but when exactly will the teaser debut? Pixar Animation Studios is currently gearing up to launch their only 2018 release currently on their slate, the sequel to writer-director Brad Bird's 2003 film, The Incredibles. The Incredibles 2 is set to hit theaters during the height of the summer movie season this June. Pixar first began building hype for the highly anticipated sequel with a teaser trailer for The Incredibles 2 that arrived late last year.

More recently, Pixar confirmed the full cast of The Incredibles 2, which features the return of Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) and Elastigirl (Holly Hunter); their children Violet (Sarah Vowell), Dash (Huck Milner, replacing original voice star Spencer Fox), and Jack-Jack; as well as fan-favorites Edna Mode (Bird) and Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson). Now, Pixar is hyping a "special look" at The Incredibles 2 during the Olympics, so we break down when exactly it will arrive.

Based on the previews for this upcoming teaser for The Incredibles 2, Pixar will debut the new trailer Wednesday, Feb. 14 on NBC during the network's 2018 Winter Olympics coverage. According to the NBC schedule, the network will air Olympics coverage from 3pm-5pm ET and 8pm-11:30pm ET on Feb. 14. However, given what is considered primetime programming we can narrow that down to evening, so it's most likely The Incredibles 2 trailer will debut between 8pm-10pm ET on Feb. 14, probably skewing toward the earlier hour since Pixar's upcoming sequel is a family-friendly animated film.

All this speculation aside, it's unclear whether Pixar will debut a full trailer for The Incredibles 2 or a different kind of preview because the studio is simply calling the new footage a "special look" at Bird's sequel. It's possible Pixar will air a regular or extended TV spot on NBC during the Olympics, then release a full trailer online. Or, the studio simply plans to unveil a second teaser trailer akin to the first, which featured baby Jack-Jack demonstrating his powers and his father excited to see the youngest Parr child following in the family's super-powered tradition.

Given the promotional push for Cars 3, Pixar's 2017 summer release, it's possible we won't get a full-length trailer for The Incredibles 2 until later this spring (the full Cars 3 trailer arrived April 2017). As such, fans should temper expectations for the Olympics sneak peek at The Incredibles 2. Still, with this being the second teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel, it's likely to offer a little bit more than the promo released late last year. For instance, while the first teaser trailer included mainly footage not likely to be in the final film, this new teaser will probably include scenes from The Incredibles 2.

No matter what The Incredibles 2 Olympics sneak peek entails, be sure to keep it with Screen Rant for a breakdown of the teaser and a discussion of what it reveals.
