The first teaser trailer for Incredibles 2 welcomes us back to Pixar's superhero world. Theaters are packed with more superhero movies than ever before, and next year will be no different. Not only are live-action versions taking center stage, but animated flicks like The LEGO Batman Movie or next year's Animated Spider-Man Movie also look to get in on the action. Pixar is set to do the same with the long-awaited sequel to The Incredibles hitting theaters next summer.

The movie will mark Pixar's return to a franchise that began in 2004 and see Craig T. Nelson (Mr. Incredible), Holly Hunter (Elastigirl), Samuel L. Jackson (Frozone), and more reprise their roles, alongside Brad Bird's return to the director's chair. After years of wondering if the movie was ever going to happen, Disney followed through on their recent tease with the first trailer

Disney just released the first teaser trailer for Incredibles 2. Picking up right after where the original ended, the short teaser wastes no time showing why fans of the original won't be disappointed by putting the focus on the youngest Parr front and center to show off his various abilities. In addition to the teaser, Disney also released a brand new poster.

The teaser is almost nothing more than just that, offering up very little in terms of what Incredibles 2 will hold. It does follow through with the reports it picks up right after the first, with Jack Jack’s abilities still being new to his family. It is a fun display of his various powers with his laser beam eyes actually being used to construct the logo. Laser beams aren't Jack Jack's only powers as evident by the trailer, as he also shows the ability to phase through objects and possess fire and electricity.

As the first piece of marketing for Incredibles 2, it will do its job, but doesn't catch audiences up on the rest of the Parr family. Violet, Dash, and Elastigirl are not shown in the teaser, leaving it up for future marketing to showcase what they're going to be up to. What the teaser does show is Bob's new life as a stay at home dad, a task that will only be made more challenging with Jack Jack's abilities, but also his inability to control them. Thankfully, the Parr's have shown the ability to concur any task they are faced with, so these new challenges shouldn't be too big of a problem.
