After a long wait, Genshin Impact’s 2.0 Version Update has finally been released, along with the incredibly hyped Electro region Inazuma. The new region has multiple islands for players to explore, a new city with a new Adventurers Guild, new materials, new domains, and tons more new content players are going to want to explore on their own. However, players first need to get to the islands if they want to explore them.

The islands of Inazuma are located far into the sea, southeast of Liyue. Since Inazuma is separated from the mainland by ocean, players will need to complete certain quests to get there. There are a few requirements before beginning the Inazuman Archon quest “The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia.” First, players must be at least Adventure Rank 30 or above to begin the quest to Inazuma. Because of this, the region is locked off from those just starting the game.

How to Unlock Inazuma in Genshin Impact

The next prerequisite is that players have completed the Archon quest “Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves”. This is the quest in which players are introduced to Kazuha, and must compete in The Crux Clash– a mini-tournament in Guyun Stone Forest run by Beidou. While the normal prize of this tournament was meant to be an unclaimed vision, Beidou promises the traveler a trip to Inazuma if they win. Thus, players must win this tournament and complete this quest in order to progress into Inazuma. Once players have completed the prerequisites, they can begin the new Archon quest to get to Inazuma. First, players must speak with Katheryne of the Adventurer’s Guild in Liyue Harbor. After speaking to her, a crew member of Beidou’s ship will approach the traveler and let them know they’re ready to set sail.

Next, get to Beidou’s ship, the Alcor. The ship is in Guyun Stone Forest, and is pretty far from the coast, glide or swim to reach it (this is made easier with characters who can create Cryo bridges like Ayaka or Kaeya). After reaching the ship, find Beidou near the steering wheel.

Talking to Beidou will trigger a cutscene, and the Alcor will set sail. Once the cutscene is finished, the traveler will have officially arrived in Inazuma. Upon arrival, the player will meet Thoma, who will help introduce the traveler to Inazuma. At first, players won’t be able to leave the initial island of Ritou. However, completing more of the story quest will eventually unlock the entirety of Inazuma, allowing players to explore the new region as they please!
