HBO has released the trailer for In Treatment season 4, which reveals a May release date for the reboot starring Uzo Aduba. Originally starring Gabriel Byrne, In Treatment ran for three successful seasons on HBO following its debut in 2008. Based on the Israeli series BeTipul, In Treatment chronicles Dr. Paul Weston’s (Byrne) weekly sessions as a psychologist and interactions with his therapist Gina (Dianne Wiest).
In 2020, a decade after the psychotherapy show ended, HBO announced a reboot of In Treatment was in the works with Abuda slated to play the lead character. Best known for her breakout role as Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren in Orange Is the New Black, Emmy-winning Aduba will portray Dr. Brooke Taylor, an empathic therapist struggling with issues while treating a diverse mix of patients. Set in present-day Los Angeles, In Treatment season 4 totes an impressive supporting cast, including Anthony Ramos (In The Heights), Quintessa Swindell (Euphoria), Liza Colón-Zayas, and Joel Kinnaman (The Killing).
