During its airing the first-run series, USA Network featured a varied schedule. There was the comedy-mystery of Psych, the spy thriller Burn Notice, and the medical drama Royal Pains. Within that group was a drama show the Federal Witness Security Program (WITSEC) called In Plain Sight.

Airing between 2008 and 2012, the program revolves around Mary Shannon, a U.S. Marshall in charge of relocating criminals and those caught in the middle within Alberqueue, New Mexico. Along the way, she tries to balance a crazy home and romantic life. In Plain Sight was a critical and fan success. Now, a decade later, viewers wonder where the show's actors went once it ended.

Mary McCormack (Mary Shannon)

Mary McCormack has appeared in many shows since "In Plain Sight."

Known for her roles in Murder One and The West Wing, McCormack portrayed Mary Shannon for In Plain Sight. She's a no-nonsense U.S. Marshall that helps those in the witness protection program get settled in Albequerque. In many cases, she also ends up protecting these people (along with her family members) from those who want to harm them.

Once the show ended in 2012, McCormack starred in several single-season TV shows. Among them are comedies Welcome to the Family and House of Lies. She returned to the USA Network in 2018 to star in the sci-fi drama Falling Water. In 2020, she paired with Arrow star Stephen Arnell to star in the series Heels.

Frederick Weller (Marshall Mann)

Yes, the character was known as Marshall Marshall Mann.

Where Mary is intense, her partner Marshall Mann is seriously mild-mannered. A fifth-generation U.S. Marshall, he's the first to be part of the WITSEC program. He's also Mary's best friend, though she considers his vast recall of various topics as useless information.

At the end of In Plain Sight, Mann guest-starred in comedies and dramas. Among them are The Good Wife, Elementary, and Bull. His series include Billy & Billie and the HBO murder-mystery Mosaic. He's also in the movie BlacKkKlansman.

Paul Ben-Victor (Stan McQueen) Paul Ben-Victor was Mary's gruff but kind boss.

WITSEC Chief Inspector Stan McQueen, portrayed by Paul Ben-Victor, is one of the best bosses on television. He sticks to the rules but also knows when he needs to be flexible to help those in the program as well as his officers. McQueen is so good that, at the end of the series, he's promoted to Deputy Director.

Since his run on the show, Ben-Victor has varied his roles. For instance, he starred in the comedy Are We There Yet? and the period dramas Vegas and Mob City. His most famous role after In Plain Sight is Matty Cigars. He portrays the character in two episodes of The Neighborhood and recreated it for the drama Gravesend.

Nichole Hiltz (Brandi Shannon)

Nichole Hiltz in In Plain Sight

Referred to as Squish by Mary, Brandi Shannon is the U.S. Marshall's younger sister. She prefers to live in the moment than think of the future, which sometimes got her in trouble. At the end of the series, a pregnant Brandi returns to Albequerque to live with Mary.

In Plain Sight seems to be the last acting role for Nichole Hiltz. A review of IMDb and Wikipedia doesn't show any further credits in television or movies. However, that's not to say she won't return at some point.

Lesley Ann Warren (Jinx Shannon)

Lesley Ann Warren in Clue

USA Network's shows of the 2000s and 2010s saw the main characters and their parents engaged in several storylines together. For example, in Burn Notice, former CIA agent Michael Weston worked to get his life straightened out while also helping his mother. The same thing happened on In Plain Sight with Leslie Ann Warren's portrayal of Jinx Shannon.

In the beginning, Jinx and Mary had somewhat of a strained relationship due to Jinx holding some resentment towards her daughter. However, as the series progressed, the duo's relationship did improve once Jinx and Mary agreed to work on their issues together. After the show, Warren starred in various TV shows that include Community, The Cool Kids, and All Rise.

Cristián de la Fuente (Raphael Ramirez)

Cristián de la Fuente in In Plain Sight

On the show, de la Fuentes portrays Mary's boyfriend-turned-fiance, Raphael Ramirez. Once a player for the Albuquerque Isotopes, the city's minor league baseball team, his career ends during the second season due to an injury. This is when he and Mary become engaged. However, things fall apart between the two. By the end of the series, Ramirez is married to someone else.

Once his time on In Plain Sight ended, de la Fuentes appeared in a few American shows like Royal Pains and Devious Maids. He has also starred in several long-running telenovelas. The most recent of these is the series En tierras salvajes.

Joshua Malina (Peter Alpert)

Joshua Malina and Nichole Hiltz in In Plain Sight

West Wing reunion occurred in the second season of In Plain Sight. Both McCormick and Malina starred on the critically acclaimed NBC series during its later seasons. Their characters on the show even started dating. However, this was not the case on the USA Network show.

Malina's character, Peter Alpert, was a successful car dealership owner and the future fiance of Brandi. He remained until the end of the series. After that, he played David Rosen on ABC's Scandal and also a recurring character in The Big Bang Theory. There, he played Leonard's and Sheldon's boss, President Siebert.

Tangie Ambrose (Delia Parmalee)

This inspector was always happy.

Ambrose plays Delia Parmalee in the USA Network series. Another inspector within the southwest WITSEC region, Parmalee is always shown in a good mood. It's something that bugs Mary to no end every time they interact.

As her time on In Plain Sight ended, Ambrose guest-starred in several shows. They include C.S.I., The Mentalist, Shameless, and Station 19. In 2020, she had a recurring role on A House Divided. Ambrose has also provided her voice to video games, with one being the popular The Last of Us

Rachel Boston (Abigail Chaffee)

Rachel Boston's character was one of Albaquerque's finest

In the later seasons of In Plain Sight, Boston portrayed Detective Abigail Chaffee. Initially involved in an investigation of Brandi Shannon, there was obvious tension between the Albequerque officer and Mary. However, they somewhat reconciled. At the same time, Chaffee and Mann began dating and eventually became engaged.

After her run as Detective Chaffee, Boston played Ingrid Beauchamp in The Witches of East End. In 2020, she joined the cast of CBS' SEAL Team as Hannah Oliver, the former friend and girlfriend of Sonny.

Todd Williams (Robert Dershowitz)

Todd Williams on the phone in The Vampire Diaries

Albuquerque homicide detective Robert Dershowitz, played by actor Todd Williams, was a primary character in the show's first two seasons. In fact, he was a part of the show's pilot episode. He has plenty of tense encounters with the WITSEC team, especially Mary. However, he softens to the group, particularly after he watches Mary get shot.

Not long after his appearance on In Plain Sight, Williams had regular roles on Switched at Birth, The Chicago Code, and The Vampire Diaries. He portrays Robin Taylor on the CBS law drama All Rise, and appears in the Amazon Prime series Panic.
