Ubisoft sure does love its crossovers, but the latest one seems fit for the Gods; from now until January 28, Immortals Fenyx Rising players can explore limited-time content inspired by Neflix's Blood of Zeus animated series. Both Ancient Greece-set franchises made their debut fairly recently. And both managed to surprise audiences with the quality of their content, too.

Immortals Fenyx Rising in particular is a breath of fresh air considering Ubisoft's slate of titles over the last few years. Created by Ubisoft Quebec, the team that led development on Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Immortals still presents players with Ubisoft-styled open-world action. However, it also mixes in Breath of the Wild-esque design choices, evidenced by Immortals' physics-based puzzles, mini bosses, Vaults, and more. Blood of Zeus, on the other hand, takes viewers on a far more violent trek through the world of the Greek pantheon; still, the two appear to fit well together.

Today, Ubisoft and Netflix announced a limited-time crossover between Immortals Fenyx Rising and Blood of Zeus. From January 21 until January 28, players will get to access a Blood of Zeus–themed quest and purchase a new character pack and weapon pack. The quest, entitled "A Tribute to Family," tasks players with defeating two more evil creatures - Cerberus and Chimera. Completing the mission unlocks the Eagle pendant, as well as Blood of Zeus-inspired character customization options. Meanwhile, the purchasable weapon pack features skins for the Axe, Bow, and Sword based on the Netflix series. The Blood of Zeus character pack bundles in armor, helmet, a mount, wings, and a phoenix companion. Players will even be able to buy the character and weapon packs after the event ends.

This crossover seems a match made in Olympus, given the Greek themes of both that center around the ancient culture's polytheistic mythology. The Greek connection isn't all the Ubisoft title and Netflix show have in common, either. Elias Toufexis, best known for starring in the recent Deus Ex entries, voices characters central to both of the nascent franchises.

Fortunately, fans of both series can rest assured that new content is on the horizon. Blood of Zeus is already confirmed to receive a sophomore season. And Immortals Fenyx Rising has a host of post-launch story DLC in the works. The first of such content could launch soon, since Immortals' most recent update prepares the title for DLC.
