Publisher Ubisoft has confirmed The Lost Gods, the third story DLC for Immortals Fenyx Rising, will go live on all platforms next week on April 22. Ubisoft announced big post-launch plans for Immortals Fenyx Rising ahead of its launch last December. Said plans most notably revolved around three different narrative-focused expansions - A New GodMyths of the Eastern Realm, and The Lost Gods.

The first major DLC release, A New God, launched back in January of this year, adding the explorable Olympos Palace, additional gameplay mechanics, a brand-new armor set, and extra abilities. Immortals' second expansion, Myths of the Eastern Realm, ushered in quite the departure in terms of setting and character, thanks in large part to the addition of a new playable hero named Ku and the emphasis on Chinese mythology. The next DLC offering will once more place players in a different locale.

According to a blog post, Ubisoft will deploy The Lost Gods expansion next week on April 22. The storyline comes from the "overhead, god's-eye perspective" and will follow a new champion, Ash, who must journey to Pyrite Island. Ash's goal centers around reuniting the Olympos Gods who abandoned their posts following a spat with the King of Gods himself, Zeus. Interestingly, the likes of Hades and Poseidon count among the "lost gods" who need convincing, but players can expect all manner of monsters to stand in Ash's way. And similar to previous Immortals DLC, all players are able to take part in a primer mission that sets the stage for The Lost Gods. The free content is located northeast of Golden Isle, boasting a preview of future challenges and rewards that will transfer to next week's expansion.

It seems as though Ubisoft is pulling out all of the stops with Immortals Fenyx Rising's final story expansion. And, fortunately, fans don't have to wait too much longer to see what The Lost Gods brings to the table. Based on the few details the publisher has shared, thus far, players are in for a treat.

Immortals Fenyx Rising comes from developer Ubisoft Quebec, the team that helmed 2018's Assassin's Creed Odyssey. The studio's Assassin's Creed pedigree is evident in nearly every facet of the experience; as many have noted, Immortals borrows heavily from Breath of the Wild, as well.
