The Simpsons was a heavily featured franchise at the Universal Studios Parks thanks to an arrangement with FOX. However, now that the Walt Disney Company has purchased the rights to the famous Springfield family, there's always a possibility that The Simpsons might be featured in Disney parks.

While there's a current agreement with Universal that appears to run out in 2028, there's plenty of loopholes which means Disney could get their hands on the characters for the parks much sooner. If Disney does end up creating a land based on the popular animated series then there's plenty of famous locations that could be featured.

The Kwik-E-Mart

The Kwik-E-Mart, owned by Apu, is one of the most iconic locations in Simpsons history. While Hank Azara has now retired the character from the show, the shop itself will always live on.

It's pretty synonymous with the show and is usually where Homer does most of his shopping. There's a version of it at Universal Studios which doubles as a merchandise shop, although Disney could do something unique with the space.

Simpson's Home

The family's house in The Simpsons.

It's difficult to have a Simpsons themed land without having the famous house featured in some capacity. 742 Evergreen Terrace has always been the home of this animated family.

With the couch and driveway that features in all the opening credits, to the treehouse that inspired the Halloween episodes of the show. It would be great to see some kind of replica of the location.

Burns Manor

Mr Burns has always been one of the most threatening characters in the show. He's rich, callous and completely cruel. He also has a very cold but impressive Manor house which would be perfect to host a ride.

One of the most famous punishments of the character, for those that annoy him, is to release his hounds. Perhaps there could be some kind of ride through the house as guests get chased by these devilish dogs.

Krusty Burger

Krusty Burger from the Simpsons

Krusty Burger is another location set in the Universal Studios version of the parks. It's actually a functioning fast food restaurant which is likely something the Disney parks could also do.

The menu boasts all the classics from the show, including items like the clogger, buzz cola, a sideshow Bob themed hotdog and of course the Krusty Burger itself. Needless to say, it would be fun to have a dining experience with the clown himself!

Nuclear Power Plant

The Nuclear Power Plant is where Homer works, under one of Mr Burns' many companies. It's another pretty famous location, with Homer causing many disasters during his time on the job.

While this could serve as some kind of ride, it's more likely that this will be something built in the background to give Springfield its iconic landscape, much like Rapunzel's tower can be seen in the distance at Disney parks.

Moe's Tavern

Moe's Tavern from The Simpsons

If guests want to grab a drink or some food at Universal Studios then they can head into Moe's Tavern which is remarkably similar to the animated version. The bar is the home from home to Homer and his friends.

The Disney version of Moe's could become more of an adult bar area, but it's so important to include this iconic drinking hole if the company ever gets the chance to create their own version of the Simpsons' home town.

Town Hall

The Town Hall is a very important location for The Simpsons as many major plot points have developed while a town meeting is taking place. The mayor can usually be found banging his gavel and asking for silence.

It's seen a lot of big events over the years, from the monorail meeting to a few different elections, one even involving Homer. If Springfield is to be recreated it needs its square and the Town Hall that has become so important to the community.

Elementary School

Bart and Lisa's elementary school is the kind of place that Disney could turn into a really fun attraction, perhaps involving some of the mischief that Bart normally gets into.

The school is another location that actually features in the opening credits and Disney has to get that chalk board in there somewhere! It's a pretty noticeable design as well, taking its cues from many real life high schools, evoking that same looming and terrifying presence.

Lard Lad Donuts

Disney is well known for the treats they create throughout their parks so it would be perfect to see a donut shop based on the Lard Lad Donuts that Homer usually enjoys.

The signature pink frosted donuts are sure to go down well with guests and the Lard Lad himself is an iconic reoccurring symbol always associated with The Simpsons brand.

The Android's Dungeon And Baseball Card Shop

Comic Book Guy is famous for his long rants and his generally unfriendly attitude. But, the character is of course also known for the shop that he works in.

What's great about having a comic book store in Disney is that it can actually sell comics that the company owns. Android's Dungeon and Baseball Card Shop could sell Star Wars and Marvel comics, along with some of the Disney based comics that have been made over the years.
