The second season of the iCarly reboot has been confirmed to be released later this year. Long time fans went wild over the beloved Nickelodeon reboot when it was announced in December 2020. When it was released on Paramount+ in June of 2021, it brought a wave of nostalgia and classic Nickelodeon humor with it, just a little more grown up this time. iCarly stars original cast members Miranda Cosgrove as Carly Shay, Nathan Kress as her best friend Freddie Benson, and Jerry Trainor as her older brother Spencer. Added to the cast for the reboot was Laci Mosley as Harper, Carly's best friend and roommate, and Jaidyn Triplett as Freddie's step-daughter Millicent.

In a series of tweets about upcoming projects and titles, Paramount+ confirmed that iCarly season 2 is currently filming and is set to release later this year. While no official release date has been announced, many fans were already anticipating a June 2022 release. See the full tweet of Paramount+'s announcement below:

As with the first season, people are hyped for the new season of iCarly. Many of the kids who watched the original Nickelodeon show are all grown up now, just like its characters. The reboot is able to maintain the fun nature of the original show, while still being rooted in more adult problems and real-life interruptions. It keeps the show fun and relatable for the adults watching, because those nostalgia riddled twenty-somethings are the real target demographic for this show. Plus, with guest stars like Josh Peck slated for cameos, the new season of iCarly cannot come soon enough.
