Miranda Cosgrove revealed that Harry Styles was one of her favorite guest stars on iCarly. The Nickelodeon series, which ran for six seasons from 2007-2012 on the children's network and was one of its highest-rated, starred Cosgrove as teenage web star Carly Shay. The character hosted a weekly series where a very impressive who's who of stars made the rounds, many of whom would go on to become significant players in the fields of movies, television, and music. At the time of their appearances, these now-familiar faces were trying to get their big break.

iCarly followed Carly Shay (Cosgrove), who lived with her brother and caretaker Spencer (Jerry Trainor) while their father served in the military. Across the hall, Freddie Benson (Nathan Kress) and Carly's best friend Sam (Jennette McCurdy) rounded out the core cast. The group produced a weekly web show where they performed skits, welcomed guest stars, and spoke about their lives to the delight of their viewers.

In an interview ahead of the retooled show's debut, Cosgrove sat alongside Kress and Trainor as they fielded questions regarding their favorite memories from the series as well as what viewers could expect of the reboot. When asked who was their favorite romantic link,  Cosgrove seemed nervous and said, "I can't pick just one." After being egged on by both Trainor and Kress, she admitted it was Harry Styles. Watch her full reaction to the question in the video below.

Styles appeared on the Nickelodeon television series in 2012 during an episode titled "iGo One Direction." In the episode, Carly returned home unwell after a trip and battled a case of jungle worms, only to discover that One Direction was scheduled to appear on her web show within days. Shortly after performing, Styles drank out of Carly's water bottle and soon fell ill himself. Styles enjoyed Carly's attention and had no intention to return to the band until he learned he would be replaced by Carly's friend Gibby (Noah Munck).

At the time of their iCarly appearance, Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan had just crossed over from a successful breakthrough in the United Kingdom. Their first album, "Take Me Home," and its first single, "What Makes You Beautiful," would establish the quintet as worldwide pop stars. Styles and his bandmates used the second season of the show to break through the teen market. By the time the group disbanded in January 2016, they had sold over 70 million albums.
