Hunger Games World is Watching Poster

We recently posted as viral game for The Hunger Games, which involved fans scouring Twitter for 100 pieces to a puzzle that, when assembled, would reveal the news Hunger Games movie poster.

Well if you were one of us who was too busy to spend your day visiting 100 different movie websites (isn't your one-stop-shop here at Screen Rant enough? ;-)), then you're both in luck, and pretty savvy: we now have the completed Hunger Games poster to share with you.

In The Hunger Games, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in 'The Hunger Games,' a nationally televised event in which "Tributes" must fight with one another until one survivor remains. When her sister is selected for the deadly games, District 12 teenager Katniss Everdeen steps up to take her place. In order to make it home alive, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity, and life against love.

Check out the new Hunger Games poster, which plays up the media spectacle of the competition and serves as the root of the novel's social allegory. Special shout out to John S. Howard, the man who first completed the puzzle game to reveal the poster:

The Hunger Games trailer gave us a fleeting look at the futuristic world of the Capitol, and this poster continues to show the scope of the effects that will be required to the world of the books to life onscreen. That's all to say: don't be fooled by the simplistic woodland setting shown in the Hunger Games teaser trailer - from the city of the capitol to the arena the tributes do battle in, there are many hi-tech aspects of Panem that will need to look spectacularly epic onscreen.

The Hunger Games will be in theaters on March 23, 2012
